“If Conor McGregor Touches you, you go to sleep” -Dana White.

The touch of death, coined for Conor by Zahabi; commonly used by Joe Rogan and Dana white to describe the way Conor ices people at a touch. But here’s the question… Are there any other fighters in MMA who have a similar capacity to just ice people at a touch? Well. You’ve come to the right place.

Popularized by Conor McGregors ability to touch people to sleep,
Effortless in appearance… That is probably the best way to describe the touch of death, as if the shot that put you to sleep shouldn’t have… As if much harder shots couldn’t do the job, why did that one? Thank you for joining me as I go over 5 examples of the death touch in mma.

Anderson Silva

Anderson Silva is still by many considered the worlds greatest warrior who had a knack for finishing his opponents in graceful non-challant manner. It’s interesting considering his heavy muay thai core which has philosophy very contrary, typically a display of strength and firm stone like resolve… Anderson was fluid, he was relaxed, he was loose, and if we look into his past, we can firmly say that relaxed fluidity was a result of his ballet. Ballet being a nonchallant, elegant, and graceful art, for Anderson, it appears to have been the perfect yin to his yang, giving depth to his overall style. Let’s jump into an example where all those elements came together to give him his touch of death.

Film Study

Anderson walks in causually with his hands down provoking Forest to come in.
Notice how he leans in with this right hand despite being a right hand dominant. From that south paw position leading with his dominant hand, provoking Forrest to Come in, relaxed, non challantly, he steps back matrix styling on Griffin, out of nowhere, his right hand goes “whap” with a fluid snap against Forest Griffins own momentum, thus the lights just go out.

  1. You cant say Griffin "went out" when you clearly see him give up, side note LEAST professional moment for him, he just ran out of the ring with no respect

  2. The touch of death is real and the rare few who know what it is and how to do it are not publicly known. A practitioner of the real touch of death has control over how deadly the touch is. They can make a black colored hand print anywhere they hit on your body. They can heal it or make it worse. They can spread the bruise to any point on your body. The liver, the kidneys, the heart. They control if you live or die. Even after they get home and settle down for the night. The real practitioners can control it. It's real. But not seen publicly.

  3. Shiaaat, i can make a women's eyes roll back and go limp with one thrust.

If i was gay, im sure a mans legs would give out and drop flat from the pain just by the tip contacting.

  4. I love how the first guy, Anderson Silva, is shown clips SPECIALLY of the illegal upkick that got him disqualified and his first loss, how is this a touch of death???? going by your list there should be a lot more people on this, 1 hit knockouts

  5. Shit, you could do this entire list with Anderson Silva alone easily. Fuck Connor MacGregor. Anderson Silva made it look easy. Even his ground and pound was great. Pinpointed strikes not throwing wild shots hoping one will work. Only ever had to throw 4 to 6 shots to finish someone on the ground.
