  1. My Logitech G Pro broke after 1 month of use, thankfully I got warranty but I took good care of the headset and it still broke. Hopefully my second one doesn't do that again. (Btw it's the new G Pro not the old one)

  2. Review the HyperX Cloud Alpha S, there's barely any information about it, but it's an amazingly good headset that should've made it to this list!

  3. Headphones severely disappointed me this year. ? I thought the Corsair virtuoso would be the best, but when trying it on, it was so unbelievably uncomfortable it blew my mind. It felt like a $10 pair from Walgreens. If it was shaped like the Logitech Pro it would be the best headset ever. No exaggeration.

  4. I really like my Virtuoso headset and after a bit of use, my ears were used to the inside of the cups pressing slightly against them. The sound is great when everything works properly. The mic, I’ve been told, also sounds good.
However, I do still hate the iCUE software and the requirement to run it for custom RGB. Also wish there was an on/off switch for the voice announcement. There is no need for the mic on/off announcement when there is a green/red indicator at the end of the mic. The only way to “turn off” the announcer is to not have iCUE running.
Occasionally the headset will have choppy audio, that’s almost unnoticeable, in wired/wireless modes. Not sure what may be causing it though. All my drivers and headset firmware is up to date, so who knows.
I don’t like switching between wired and wireless modes, on the fly, at all. There is about a 5 second, give or take, delay between the headset switching modes and it’s not very graceful sometimes. You completely lose audio because the headset restarts itself, when switching. The mode switch seems like an unneeded function but I’m ignorant to how important it actually may be.
The top band cushion is okay. It becomes uncomfortable, for me, after about 3-4 hours and I frequently readjust it on my head after that point. The ear cushions could be a little wider to relive your ears of the hard plastic inside of the ear cups, but the cushions are comfortable. The ear cup holes could be slightly bigger as well, at least for me.

Over all, the headset is a very solid choice. Personally, I’d give it an 8/10.

  5. Best gaming headset: HyperX Cloud series – sound quality is better than most and the mic is decent

Best headset for gaming: Audio-Technica ATH-M50x or other studio headphones with a modmic or a proper desk mic.
