2. Cutting food stamps to those in need while giving billions to the big oil companies in the form of a subsidy. Fuck you America, fuck you ?

3. Ok let's stop the nonsense already. It is nothing wrong with requiring able bodied single adults without children to work at least 20 hours a week to qualify for food stamps. It only makes sense. What would make this better is that the govt should have part time to full time jobs already set up to hire these adults when they sign up for the food stamp program. That way they are helping people who are struggling to find work gain employment while receivin benefits. In some states, college students are required to work at least 20 hours a week to qualify for food stamps. So why not require non college student able bodied single adults to do the same? It only makes sense. There are tons of jobs out there even if people don't want the jobs.

He is making harder for states to waive a 20 hour work requirement so people will still work and not just receive benefits for free!!! People should be urged to get jobs, and if states just got rid of that requirement, these beneficiaries would essentially be living off of taxpayers and would never try to get a job. It's simple cause effect.

17. Went to renew my EBT food stamps yesterday, and was denied. I go to school full time and can only work weekends. I barely pay my rent already and now because I don’t work 20 hrs a week, I have to go to local food shelters to survive. I fear this new rule implemented will effect college students like me who are trying to survive on their own with no parent support, greatly. I am disgusted at this man. Taking more and more away from those who already have so little so he can continue to enrich his donors and himself.

Im on foodstamps and it helps so much because i work a $8/hr job and only get 30 or 32 hours a week and usually my paycheck is only enough to pay my $500 a month rent plus gas,water,and electric bills and by the time im done paying them all im lucky to have $20 left and groceries are getting expensive even if i buy the generic brands and ill only have 2 or3 bags and sometimes costs me a good $40 or $50 so im greatful to have snap benefits or i wouldnt have food in my house except for $20 worth of ramen noodles ? and going to my local lords diner for dinner every night and god bless the volunteers who dedicate their spare time to help feed us people living on the poverty line living paycheck to paycheck just making enough to pay rent and bills

21. I live pay check to pay check with mortgage payments and utility bills and so on, but guess what. I don't need a hand out. If you looked in my fridge you wouldn't be impressed at all. But you look at some of these people on food stamps in their fridge or pantry is fill with unhealthy processed foods. And a lot of these people don't even work.

23. Maybe I'm bitter but I have seen these families that profit off the system. They have children just to a check. They profit off of section 8 which are really nice homes at this point. They profit off of the earned child tax credit.

    Yes there are bigger fish to fry but enough is enough. There are middle class families that get not support. And yet the "poor" in all their Gucci and Lexus living it up on tax payers dollars.

    I stand with the true middle class and enough is enough. Maybe they should work just like us. We get no support because we decided to use contraceptives, graduate college, and give back to our community.

25. Been working at a major grocery store chain for over 10 years. Trust me when I say that most people on food stamps don't need them.
