85-Pound Cane Corso Worked SO Hard To Be A Good Girl | The Dodo Adopt Me!
Spread The Viralist

Ari, an 85-pound cane corso, was surrendered by her family when they were moving. She wasn’t very fond of dogs and would lunge at anyone who walked by. But she has been working SO hard to be a good girl — now she just needs someone who gets her.

For information on adopting Ari, you can contact her rescuers at Rescue City: https://thedo.do/adoptari.

  2. I have a dog just like air. Her name is baby. Exactly the same issues when we adopted her. Feom her traumatic first 2 years of life she became an instant protector and felt the need to bark and shake whenever another dog or human would come anywhere near and heaven forbid they come in the home. Although she never bit or lunged at a human and once they just pet her she would just keep going back for more. Not the same with dogs. Couldn't even walk her around the lake as she would try to get at every dog and it was never friendly. My 19 year old son just rescued a 5 month old german shepherd who is also another female. I wanted them to be companions amd took the opportunity for the last two months to train my dog into trusting me….my dog simply just wants to be near me, she just enjoys being close and is very affectionate and gentle. Her appearance is deceiving. She is now way happier and has a great relationship with the new pup, She doesnt try to get at other dogs and even tho she was trained before this time I focused on making her feel safe. Took a lot of research and constant work for the last 8 weeks but all paid off and made a world of a difference. Its remarkable how similar our two dogs are and so happy that she got adopted! I always take a moment in each day to appreciate her in my life! Really touched by this story.

  3. I would really advise the person keep the dog they've saved. This is not a poodle, not the kind you foster out. It's the failure of the people and not the failure of the dog that's the problem. She was surrendered once & has a home now, with you! She WILL be devastated to lose you, and if future owners do not keep up with her training & help her overcome a whole new set of fears from being in a whole new environment with different people and another new family…they could screw it up without deliberately meaning to do so, but It's her life on the line.

  4. Ari is absolutely perfect! What wonderful humans surrounding her, to care for her, ensure she is happy and adjusted and thriving. I hope the perfect most deserving home, finds her. I just love her!

  5. We must share this world with rescue dogs and show them love and care and compionship and get all of them adopted to loving homes . Keep up the amazing work Dodo .

  6. I do hope she finds a fantastic home. She deserves it. And the trainers – what wonderful, feeling, empathetic people. They must have hearts of PURE gold – that is, hearts as big as the ones of the dogs they train! There IS hope for this world. Keep it up!!

  7. She is wonderful! …and what you have done for her is amazing! Recognizing her wants and needs…to help her reach to reach her potentials is truly inspiring. Thank you for being incredible, thoughtful human beings…you are an inspiration to all of us to just reach deep inside …and BE BETTER. Thank you very much for all your efforts. She will get a wonderful home…you will see to that. God Bless

  8. Ari is gorgeous! Her big, soft, floppy lips remind me of my Layla, the bulldog in my photo. I love those lips! I think if Ari had her choice of humans, it would be the woman she whimpered at seeing. I hope Ari finds the right home for her, loving and understanding of the breed. AKC says: "Corsi are intelligent, loyal, eager to please, versatile, and intensely loyal to their humans, but are also assertive and willful, and can end up owning an unwitting owner. As with any other big guardian dog, responsible breeding and early socialization with people and other dogs is vital." What a gorgeous girl she is; she deserves her loving and responsible home. <3 <3 <3

  9. It is sad when half the comments are about evil people. You never know what someone has going on in their life. Sometimes people with good intentions have interruptions in life. I really hope most of the people with judgement also pray they never fall from grace, it would be sad to find out you are a hypocrite!

  10. Hate these so called "trainers"..fucking sic person who use violence as "training" method (shock collar and propaply abused other ways too..you can see dogs bodylanguage that they fear ..wellnot everyone..only intelligent humans who know bodylanguage can see it ). This dog needs trainer like Victoria Stillwell ..Not abuser trainers like this man or Cesar Milan who love the power to hurt and make dog fear to feel Something sic inside them . So sorry for this dog when humans had totally betrayed her??..Hope she get human(s) who understund what real love is and respective training❤

  11. I adopted my cane corso a year ago, she looks just like Ari. Most loving and protective dog I've ever had… she's perfect! ?

  12. Two of these dogs in Michigan tore a Jogger apart and killed him a few years ago in a rural suburb near Detroit , an affluent area. I think the owners went to prison.

  13. Shes going to do more than lunge, she will kill! Why are you ppl so blind with these demons?? They have killed so many ppl, especially the one who owns them. What will it take for you to wise up???
