In countless crash videos it has always been captains egho which has brought the plane down.
FO should have woken ‘Capt sleep’ way before or let him sleep altogether and land the plane himself. Sad to know it was human error. R. I.P beautiful souls.

There had to be a racist mindset somewhere inside that captain. Thats why he ignored hi copilots advise.
Why should the pilot should be sleeping anyways? Air India was paying him for what?Just a simple error of judgement. And the captain didn't listen to anybody. Because of this we have to give up our land to the airport since they were expanding post the accident. We had a wonderful house bang opposite the runway.

The pilot first had his sleep interrupted when he shouldn't have been sleeping, then he tried to land when he shouldn't have because he was out of position, then he tried to take off again when he shouldn't have because it was too late, then he crashed his plane and killed most everybody. I mean we all have bad days sometimes… but sheeeeiiiittt. Great work on the video btw. Very compelling.

Who gave this pilot license to fly? Did he think he was behind a four wheel that he can take off anytime? Seriously. This accident reminds me of a call to an Indian call center. Can we go around? No response.

The Captain was busy smelling his armpits and he fell asleep so deep that he lost his smartness when he woke up then continued smelling his armpits that he totally ignored the First Officer.
This why CRM is such a vital part of our safety. It is appalling that the Capt. Could sleep thru the damn flight! However, as f/as we check on the crew and bring coffee or whatever they need. I flew for 17 yrs and never saw a pilot sleeping unless in a crew rest area. How awful for the passengers and their loved ones.
