SAPALAN IS RESCUED

SAPALAN IS RESCUED
Spread The Viralist

We received reports of an abandoned elephant calf in the Masai Mara, cutting a tragic figure dwarfed by the vast plains with the Oloololo escarpment beyond. With elephant herds coming and going he constantly remained rejected, always emerging from the group to be left alone as the herds moved on.

The DSWT/KWS Mara Veterinary Unit attended the scene and the Vet decided that the calf should be rescued, as observations made it clear he was suffering from malnutrition and would not survive without help.
