Documentary series following the work of the Cape of Good Hope Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, in Cape Town, South Africa. SPCA Chief Inspector Andries Venter and Inspector Fox Marais investigate suspicious goings-on at a house in Woodstock, and uncover a pitbull fighting operation. Trainee Inspector Wayne Hector confiscates six ponies when their owner fails to provide safe, clean stabling for them. Meanwhile, a wildlife Inspector has to handle a prickly problem when a porcupine is trapped in a garden, and comes to the rescue of a seal in distress.

I'm sick of hearing that pit-bulls are good dogs, yes most of them are, but sometimes they do just snap, and it's not because of a shitty owner, a friend of mine from school had one who got loose and mauled 3 guinea pigs to death in the neighbors yard, never so much as looked at a human or another dog funny, and I heard from another friend about their chihuahua that was mauled to death with the same circumstances, these dogs were bred for fighting, its their instinct, and yes i know it's not just pit-bulls, another friend of mine was mauled by a chow and had to have facial reconstruction surgery, chow was nice normally, just decided one day to go off on him.

That’s a horrible stable the horses need more space to move and need very good care but if I was a cop I would say to the adult who takes care of the horse two days and it needs to be fixed if not I will remove the horse I will take care of it for two weeks and when the horses are ok I will put it up for adopting and give it a very good nice and amazing food home I hate people who don’t care I have two horses and two dogs it’s not hard to take care of them the horses live happy ever after yay omg it’s that easy wow not so hard to take care of a living thing ??? this is how I feel by the way I am getting a kitten yay sooo excited for the kitten

you don't test a dog's behaviour by passing kennels with other excited dogs….. Usually dogs are more "aggressive" through a fence.
the dogs get it, but i feel the owner should pay, many pits that fought can be rehabilitated, and you have to just be responsible and keep him from dogs, people as i see in nj pat there dogs when barking and baiting at a dog across the street. he was not trying to calm it down he was praising him. what he should have done was to keep walking fast and tug leash if dog turns to look at other dog, it helps to get the dog off his mind.. And you will always have to be an ambassador to this magnificent dog and get from only good breeders, and the ponies, some of the smartest animals are horses. this man should never be allowed to own a hermit crab

I like this show a little more than the American versions. The team is just badass! Not that the others aren't, but there's something different about these guys!
Anyone spectating dog fighting should be locked up. Anyone facilitating/hosting dog fighting should be crippled (ie chop off a leg) and locked up. Anyone who puts their own dogs in the ring should be shot in the head….I have zero sympathy for the kind of sadistic psychos who enjoy dog fighting.

Is it just me that question how this can be ok for those horses? They don't have any daylight in there or ANY room to roam around… If this was the Houston SPCA, they would have rehomed those ponies and we would have seen them run around on green fields in the end… I can't understand how they could settle for those tiny small boxes for the horses to stand in and a "garden" with no grass and tons of bricks and crap everywhere…

Pit bulls can be turned around and become family.members check out Michael Vicks dogs.very few had to be destroyed.

SPCA is the BEST my dog aka my best friend came from SPCA, and it is really cool and sad to see how some of these animals lived before being rescued.
It might have been used for dog fighting at one time but not recently. The dogs in the back that were living together were not fighting dogs. Dogs trained for fighting cannot live together.
