The lesson is obvious – the next time you build an airship, don't paint the inflammable acetate skin with aluminium rocket fuel.
2:50 slow tears fall from face
Damn the monkeys workin hard to defeat the ZOMG
This is great quality for 1938 I’ve seen worse it 2019
Thanks, Caboose. I learned something new today.
An absolute miracle that the majority of passengers made it out of that! 2:57
I'm surprised that anyone even made it out, only 35 out of the 97 passengers died, but this is still extremely tragic 🙁
I love history
"Oh the Humanity!"
What's amazing is that 2/3 of the people onboard survived. You can see them running away from the burning airship. Most of the deaths occurred in the bow section. The further back you were, the more likely to make it out alive.
Today marks the anniversary of this great tragedy. Rest in peace, you 36 poor souls.
This disaster is happening exactly 82 years ago…
Well now, that’s just what happens when you fill a massive, 245 foot long motorized balloon with flammable hydrogen.
OH, THE HUMANITY!!!
OH THE HUMANITY
Does anyone know what the music is called?
Am I the only one that came here after reading the third book of the Pendragon series?? ?
America destroyed the Hindenburg.
I live In the same base where Lakehurst is. By the way, if you didn’t know, Lakehurst is not a single base anymore. It is part of my base which is Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst
So sad
Wow

2:51 OOF
Who would have thought an 800 foot cucumber filled with hydrogen would be so dangerous?
And thus led zeppelin was born
Just found this channel I love history so much but my friend said I'm a boring man because they hate history.
