Marine biologist Nan Hauser has been diving with wild whales for the past 28 years — but it wasn’t until recently that she could credit one with saving her life.

Back in October, Hauser was diving off near the Cook Islands, in the South Pacific, with a camera crew who wanted to film her in the water alongside humpback whales. In an unusually persistent manner, one whale swam right up and began nudging her with his mouth and chin, seemingly trying to tuck her underneath his pectoral fin.

  1. Excuse me that large thing you're calling a whale that's not a whale that's a shark they're called whale sharks because of their size but it is a member of shark family while they behave more like whales or dolphins they are categorized as a shark whale shark and they have been known to beat off the more vicious variety of sharks and save scuba divers they behave more like dolphins but I assure you that is a whale shark also the Orca which is called the killer whale that is not a whale that is the largest member of The Dolphin Family killer whales are dolphins if you don't believe me look it up in a book or dirty word a book f**** Millennial retards

  2. I can not imagine what a connection that would have to happen during an occurrence like that but it would have to be life changing! Something you would never forget and be special to you. How wonderful! ❤️??

  3. I was attacked by 22 gang bangers in the streets of Chicago. Luckily a group of 4 spotted owls, 1 yellow bellied thrush, and 1 blue veined throbber came out of the trees and saved me. HASHTAG/SAVETHEBIRDS. Oh wait? U need video to prove it??? But u believe this bullshit video? Lmao. No video=no one but idiots gonna believe.

  4. Sharks are not vicious man eaters, in fact they like to be petted, they all have different personalities like people. Just because it is a big tiger shark does not mean it will attack. People need to study their facts.

  5. That's a miracle. A lot things surprise you, after the time you recognize that God transform an Angel to save you ,God get you to give a testimony for all the people that watch your video,God bless you ,A beautiful experience in your life.

  6. “he just wouldn’t stop touching me. i tried to get away, but couldn’t”

i mean, kinda sounds like me explaining my dad’s interactions with me..

  7. I have come to the conclusion that the 'Human Rights Act' (or some new Act of equal status) must be extended to include all sea mammals. We would appear to have some evolutionary connection to these creatures that still remains unexplained, e.g. you only need to look at the human emotions and response to a dolphin or whale that becomes beached? This video is yet another excellent example of the countless interactions these creatures have when interacting/protecting humans, this always appears to be a learned and natural response… why, how and where does this learned behaviour come from?

  8. Whales must be protected under all circumstances, they are smart and peaceful. Sharks are fish and aggressive hunters that only act on instincts, fuck them and the shark lovers.
