The Black Summer bushfires (2019–2020) were one of the most devastating disasters in Australia’s history. Over 24 million hectares of land burned—an area nearly the size of Uttar Pradesh, India. Nearly 3 billion animals were killed, displaced, or affected, making it one of the largest wildlife losses ever recorded.

This video shows how years of extreme drought turned forests into fuel, how the fires spread across New South Wales and Victoria, and the massive impact on both wildlife and humans. 33 people lost their lives directly in the fires, including 9 firefighters, while hundreds more died due to smoke.

This is not just a story of destruction, but also a reminder of how powerful and dangerous nature can become.
