I'm assuming this wasn't a race? Wouldn't you drive with a tiny bit 🤏🏼 of caution around other cars? You have no idea about others abilities. Where as if it were a race, you would have a pretty good idea that everyone on track is on the same page 🤷🏻

Always those stupid people that don't use their mirrors. How can you turn the wheel without checking what's behind. When I drive , 50% of the time is looking behind, just to check. What is wrong with you people. I'm not talking only to this bmw driver on circuit. I'm talking even on public roads. Use your mirrors even when going straight. At least check what's behind you , just out of curiosity. It maybe can save your life.

BMW did Not give the Signal to the porsche that he can overtake. If the bmw turns the Indicator, then go ahead. This is How it works on the Ring, this crash is the result if you dont fly straight by a minimum of rules.
BMW didn’t move across to let the Porsche through, he just didn’t have any particular line he was taking. Lack of rearward awareness from the bmw, lack of judgement from the Porsche I’d say. A bit of luck and great engineering kept them alive this time.

Porsche at fault
I see this as 100% the M2's fault. Maybe the overtake is a little aggressive, but he left space and I mean it's a track! People want to drive fast, not just hang out behind someone driving slower.
Also the M2 was just way too unaware. He was along side, just all around piss poor job by BMW driver.

The GT3 driver risked his and the live of the M2 driver for nothing! No race, not title, no nothing, just pure risk of damage and death! Nothing would have happend if he just wait a bit longer for the straight, nooo his is so fast, he had to overtake in a curve! Idiot!
