  8. Crazy not one of these were about hurricane Helene. Houses less than 20 miles from me were sliding down mountains. I40 (roads connecting NC to TN) wiped off the face of the mountain. Many lives lost and the town of Chimney rock as well. Absolute devastation that was not expected. Wendigoon has a great video on the sheer terror that rocked the Appalachian area.

  11. I live in North Texas and we regularly get baseball and softball size hail. When I was a kid in 1992 there was a historic hail storm during an outdoor festival called Mayfest, and it dropped grapefruit size hail. People died from head injuries because they were stuck outside. It shattered windows, came through roofs, destroyed cars, etc.

  12. Today a German shepherd was in a hot car 99 degrees in Bedford Texas police were called by my mom because it was 30 mins when we arrived then left and doggo was still there n idk what happened next because both cop and guy left the parking lot.. hope body cam happens to come out

She used to tell me, in vivd detail, about how she could remember a literal wall of dust approaching their house, hiding in the storm shelter, then having to clean off the piles of sand and dust that gathered (yes, she was that old).   22. I don't actually understand what the problem with all kids getting a trophy is. Tgey get one for being involved in the team activity and that's fine. The. The people who win get it plus the winner trophy. It's important they learn to work together to achieve goals eitherway is why yeamsports are a thing. It's not about winning that's just the bonus. It's about working together and if they are doing so even if they lose that's good. It's better to have a team of 15lossers who respect each other and work together then a team of 15 that wind but they all argue and fight each other and they all let one or few talented persons carry the rest of the team completely…. most people aren't super talented and won't ever be good enough to be professionals and when you have one or two talented people that should never mean always let them have the ball or whatever else depending upon the game. They will get older and need to learn to share evenly and work with other talented people and against a full team of talented people if they are actually that good anyway so it o ly harms them and there ability to work with others to do the stuff to win… in these situations winning is actually losing cause the real win is accomplishment together to make the most points… not just who has the most 😂. People who seriously don't see that don't understand why children play team sports and it's insanely sad what people have done to the games in first place adding such wild lvls of competition. Competition is healthy within reason… the ohh were not playing you even though ypu wanna play because somone else is better isn't good for anyone
