  1. We , the whole world is fortunate that this eruption was subterranean, partially , and that it wasn't completely under the ocean . The amount of water that could have been dispersed would bring a whole new definition of tsunami .

  2. If you search hard enough for the entire clip, and watch frame by frame… you'll see the R.O.D.D. going in.
So fast it's a streak on a single frame.
    Can you say,"weapon testing '…

  3. NZ here. I find it interesting that Climate Experts have basically decided to ignore the incredible amount of water, ash etc that was ejected and are still bitching about diesel trucks & cows being the end of the world.

  4. When this happened I was in Sydney, Australia when this happened. It bucketed rain for about 3 seconds, abruptly stopped, then we heard what sounded like a sonic boom, but had a lot more bass.

  5. Yes I imagined that millions of burnt bodies cancer risk flattened buildings is that what it was like?, no so shut up.

  6. 61Mt TNT equivalent. The largest nuclear weapon ever tested was 56.8Mt. The modern average today is 0.1Mt. The largest currently in service is 5Mt.
This eruption was equivalent in energy to over 4000 Hiroshimas…

  7. Incredible how after these massive disturbances on the earths surface it remains suitable for life, it always finds a way to maintain equilibrium per-say.

  8. I love the name of the volcano, that is just awesome. I heard Mt. St. Helens back in 1980, It didnt sound like the clear explosion like the one shown here, it felt deeper and had a rumble to it. At first i thought it was a sonic boom, then thought is was an explosion of some sort.

  9. Why do humans always compare explosions to nuclear bombs? Like that's supposed to help us understand the size and force and impact of these volcanic explosions. None of us were say Hiroshima, we didn't see that. And none of us saw this eruption either but the satellite images speak for themselves as far as the size and magnitude.

  10. Volcano erruption? Hell no. It was in fact really an underwater nuclear detonation test. Volcano eruption normally happens as series of blows, not one single big ass blow like a bomb. So easy they lie to us. I hate USA and Russia for this.
