The small puppy was discovered curled up beneath a bush, her weak body shaking with agony. Her eyes glowed with terror and optimism despite her state, as though she knew assistance was coming. After gently wrapping her in a cozy blanket, the rescuers hurried her to their shelter so she could receive emergency medical care.
The staff immediately got to work at the shelter. It was determined that the maggot-infested wound was a big, deep hole in her chest brought on by fly attacks and an untreated illness. To relieve her agony and enable the team to work safely, a sedative was first administered.
