14. I was watching today Harry Potter Deathly Hollows part 1. What i found in one scene with Minister of Magic. when he gives to Harry golden Sneach. he is using cloth. and Looks confised when Harry touches it. like he knows something may happend with it.

18. The excuse about Voldemort in the beginning is bs. I’m sorry. He didn’t need a mother to love him to understand love. Look how Harry grew up. In a very loveless environment and it’s worse because these are his relatives yet he didn’t grow up to be like that. By all accounts JK wrote Voldemort to be born evil. The matron of the orphanage didn’t seem abusive or mean. Even as a child Voldemort was clearly evil. Which is ironic considering she claims (or rather Dumbledore) it’s peoples’ choices.

19. The Wesley’s are blood traitors. They’re pure blood but they also have no issues with mixing with muggles. They’re not cursed. They just aren’t able to use their blood status to help them because of them being blood traitors.

20. Merlin was not a 10th century wizard. Merlin was a 5th or 6th century wizard. Merlin was a member of King Arthur's court. King Arthur lived in the 6th century unless Merlin used a time turner he lived 400-500 years before hogwarts was founded.

    I'm sure if he were a malicious character there are plenty of ways he could have screwed with people far more than what the book has. With his power and intellect. He would have been far worse than Voldemort

28. 6:50 I think that whole situation is entirely screwed up. Do we not owe a debt to the people who fight for our countries? So why would we abandon their children after they make the ultimate sacrifice?
    The queen should have opened an orphanage for war orphans where they could be well taken care of and raised to be good Proper citizens not tossed aside and neglected

    Having grown up with no real family, no real connection to anybody greatly stunted his emotional growth. The fact that it isn't trust people means he wouldn't try to connect with anyone

32. 1. The Wizarding population for Hogwarts during the time of the books are so low because of the 1st war with Voldemort. Aside from Slytherin house for the most part, everyone oppossed to Voldemort was at war and dying off all the time, with only a 10 year gap between his disappearance and reappearce in book 1. Not a lot of time for repopulation outside of getting muggle borns like Hermione sorted in.
    2. Going off real world lore (and why wizards went into hiding in the 1st place) they were dying off because the Catholic church were wiping out witches and wizards (and anyone they accused or thought to be one or associated with one) over 100s of years. Hence, major population decrease over time.

33. I think the idea was that Dumbledore was just that good. But clearly with Hogwarts Legacy they are setting up the Dumbledore had “Ancient Magic”. It basically explains away all of the mysteries of Dumbledore while explaining how he knows things about “Primal/ancient magic” referred to at times.

    Spoiler: Lily also likely had access to this ancient magic in an upcoming retcon and that’s what powered Harry’s protection spell. Probably will retcon that Voldemort wanted to be DADA Professor to look for the vault also.

    Edit: Frog Cards were totally his spies. After loosing his warlock status he states “as long as they don’t take way my frog card status. 💀

34. If you think about it then it makes sense. The pure blood extremism is a result of a dying society. The sizes of Hogwarts versus wizarding communities adds up as well. Wizards are a dying breed by necessity.

    Consider that many are still citizens of their country. They could leave but still
    Have a sense of nationalism. Through out both world wars Wizards probably served it he service and were exposed to the non-wizard world. Especially if you consider the fact that the workd wars seem to be muggle proxies to the wizarding wars.

    After the wars many wizards were either dead or had mingled with muggles so many had mixed blood children. The pureblood extremists (generally the same people who would have avoided military service) didn’t experience this merging of world and would see this new generation of halfbloods as a product of their own weakening society.

    JK may have some questionable opinions now but you can’t argue that alot of thought went into the idea of wartime rationality & radicalization.

35. Another reason Dumbledore was always on top of things was because he had a watch with 12 planets instead of numbers. Hes friends with Firenze and Hagrid knows many of them by name (and if Hagrid knows them, its obvious Dumbledore knows them, plus the Centaurs salute Dumbledore at his funeral). He probably learned to read the stars at least by Firenze to a certain level.
