I've done this trick when my Forest Industry is far from water so the fire helicopters can retank, but you have to keep turning the water on/off to avoid flooding or evaporation. Gets old after awhile, I DID make a mini hill in my state park, hollowed it out, and let it stream to a nearby river…very cool.
