Takis' doggies keep everyone company as they do their work…always so curious and welcoming. Proves these animals trust people all because of Takis' calm and loving guidance and leadership. A great environment.
It's very hard to maintain a shelter or any area with lots of animals. That's why there are so many stories of animals living in filth. Taking care of that many animals requires lots of Hared Work every day.

I was wondering when you harvest the olive treesโฆ. Itโs so interesting how it is doneโฆ.. and a BIG BONUS it watching all the doggies!!!!!
It's like a large farm, always busy and providing many jobs for local men, which is a blessing. Ierapetra's economy owes a lot to Takis and his shelter – dog & cat food suppliers, vets, cleaners, olive pickers, builders, repair men, you name it. Many families earn their living in this blessed place.
WHere does all the poop go? Do you have to pay dumping fees or anything? Can you imagine the mountain of those bags after a few years!

If Takis mixed that dog poop with sawdust or other organic matter he'd have some pretty good compost that he could use in the mountains or prepare a large parcel of land of plant growth, etc.

We love every drop of beautification/expansions/build/flora effort you have put into Takis rescue 24/7 for the love of the land- the furbabies wellness…. the visitors keep coming back……volunteers-sponsors make it all happen! you gave your past up Takis you continue to build/work your dream everyday through the eyes of your dogs…..making life better! . the dogs love to frolic as you work LOL! a dogs life!

It's a good idea to move the black devil to another area that way Takis can enjoy his sheep without being attacked. It makes me laugh when Takis offers the Black Devil up for adoption, he always has a little laugh in his voice. The Black Devil was watching Takis all the time he was at the fence. Bad boy!
