5. I love this! America needs to see more of this AND communities have to offer and encourage low to no cost spay/neutering! It will save so many unwanted (😢) lives. It will also make all the other beautiful and deserving dogs in shelters more visible and able to find their forever homes!

7. I have the most adorable red beagle that came from a breeder, and the only reason I have her is because she was a rehoming. So many people tried to convince me to just breed her once for the adorable puppies

16. my dog is a pomski, she gets compliments often and sometimes we get the question of "are you going to breed her?". she's already spayed because we didn't want her to have babies just to be sold. (also I would probably get attached to them and we don't have enough money to support more dogs)

17. Fact is…. 1/3 shelter dogs are dumped seniors (6yrs+) the rest from PREGNANT MOMS,PUPPIES AND GROWN DOGS ARE DUMPED. Imagine how many shelters are getting 20 dogs a week. Not exaggeration. So many have no shots,long nails,starved, brutalized,caged 24/7 in many breeder cases. Why? LANDLORDS AND 2 GENERATIONS OF PEOPLE not raised with good hearts or the idea of RESPONSIBILITY. PETS ARE FOR LIFE! Ne breed, colors,coats,/designer dogs and purebred all get the same treatment. Find out about your local shelter. Then..find a reputable RESCUE. DONATE TO THEM SUPPLIES.Look for them online and pledge $ to encourage rescues to save them. Develope a chain for transport to Canada, or other states who have no overflow. It's doable. RESCUES NEED FOSTERS! HUGE NEED. If you can temporarily house a DEATHROW PET you not only save their life but promise them a future alive. Most FOSTERS COSTS ARE COVERED!. Yes your life is limited. No vacation without pup care, etc but the life and love is worth it.

21. I counted 15 in this and with a euthanasia rate in puppies (yes puppies) of 8% that's 1.2. So statistically across the US, one of those puppies would be gone by the end of the year.

    Not to put any guilt over shelters that are forced to do this, but spay/neuter is SO compassionate and makes such a positive impact. Adopting and spay/neuter means that you didn't look at these babies and decide one of them has to pass because you wanted a "pure bred" (let's be honest, probably the deaf one with little spots on his ears because disabled dogs are more likely to be put down).

    If you can look at that puppy and say to yourself "I don't want you to go forever" then you know what's right. Spay, neuter, pass the word, adopt instead of purchasing, and if you can, please donate to spay/neuter programs

23. If adopting was even close to as easy and accessible here as it is in the US, you bet your ass I'd foster every dog I could give a place to. I've honestly considered flying to the US to adopt a dog there.

36. Lets mention that pound puppies are 1) MUCH healthier than most purebred dogs and 2) live almost twice as long as a result.
    Sure, Pugs are "cute", but they almost always require surgery to breathe in their old years ( average age is about 11 to 13.) Frenchies are cute too, but same problem. MAJOR breathing problems, they sink like rocks in deep water, so they cant be left alone around pools, AND they cant naturally breed. Thats right, natural copulation has been bred right out of them! Cute…aint it?
    Chihuahuas are a different story. Cute…rats. They tremble in old age, eyes bug out of their too small skulls, are rather violent with or without training, and have been known to maul more than some of the larger, more "dangerous" dogs like Pit Bulls or Rotties.

    Nah, Ill stick with my mutts, cats, and kittens any day.
