THE HOOD CONTENDER TAKES ON NEW ZEALAND 🇳🇿 | $5,000 PRIZE MONEY | 16-MAN ELIMINATION

The Hood Contender hits New Zealand for the VERY first time and we’re bringing the HEAT in collaboration with Bad Apples & Uncle Ling Ling

A $5,000 prize pool, a 16-man elimination format, and one Australian fighter representing Queensland as we step onto Kiwi soil to prove who really wants it the most.

Originally, this trip was planned for a collaboration with UFC star Dan Hooker, but when the opportunity fell through, we pivoted, adapted, and built something even bigger.
This is raw competition, real fighters, and pure heart.

  1. Shoutout to New Zealand and to our very first New Zealand champion from Rewa – Hawera Williams. This man is an absolute animal and deserves all the respect. Stepping in at just 85kg, the lightest fighter in the entire tournament, he went up against opponents weighing 30–40 kilograms more than him. Credit where credit is due.

A special mention to our fighter Sam Vaafusuaga, who travelled from Australia for a one-on-one in Dan Hooker’s 1 Minute Scraps. When those plans fell through, he made no excuses and stepped into a 16-man tournament organised within 48 hours. Sam represented his country and family with pride, putting away three New Zealand fighters before narrowly falling short in the final. Massive respect to the uso Sam, and to every man who stepped into the arena.

  2. big respect to these guys, need a bit more room to move , , even Jai not gonna be able to get to those 150 kilo boys,in that setting, seems to favour the heavy guys a bit. you need room and distance to punch, hard to do with a big bear on your chest. the winner is smaller and he has more room to move.

  3. Wtf they both must of already trained in a boxing or mma gym they looked above the rest but if not someone needs to invest time in both of them . It could of ended anyway but i didnt see that coming . You can tell how powerful the young māori was but his a light or middle weight & all his scraps where vs LH & HW out matching natrual HW power punch with accuracy. All Soulja's machine . The proof & result of the smallest in weight not picking up weapons when you realise you got Lord Given natrual weapons in both hands & a soild safe place to put them to work . This channel should be recommended to all yungins .

  4. 25:43 His been technical & sharp from his 1st hit with body & head movement ,sign of a good fighter but What was that lighting
Left hook quicker & harder then most people's right hand power shot . Ive only watched it upto here but he has to make the final against the young māori bro his abit smaller but all his cracks his opponent close to double his mass but his just abit smaller version of this bro in black fighting now The brother in black vs the māori final prediction
There both technical, fast, powerful& never stationary . Too hard to pick who wins if they both make it but we witness 1 min of 2 machines

  5. This is what a “product of our environments” looks like 👊🏽 Hori’s, Tokos, Uso’s, Brown, White or Black, always love a good scrap! 😂
