2. If you're local humane society would help people who incarceration just maybe they could rehabilitate faster and just maybe have a job working with animals. Animals give love without judgment humans judge with sight.

5. My local county jail eliminated the "Jailhouse Dogs" program when the new sheriff, Keybo Taylor, was elected. He said it was too costly. I say he was short-sighted. The program allowed inmates to learn dog training skills and helped save a lot of dogs from ending up in a shelter. Because of his actions, he permanently lost my vote.

7. This made me cry – this is so amazing. Every Prison should do that. Win-Win for rescue dogs and people who got on the wrong path once in their life and need and deserve a second chance ❤

20. "I knew dogs a bit… but I had never really experienced it." This person is referring to reactivity… and they're an apparently qualified dog trainer. Am I missing something?? I know education is extremely poor over there but this begs belief. I can't make it make sense.

21. America is on track to catch up with the rest of the world within the next 50 years, but we can't force it. They're terrified of change. They already know that incarceration without rehabilitation ends up in re-offending. They have access to modern data just like everyone else.

    Unfortunately it has to be a tiny bit of progress at a time. A veeery gradual shift to using logic to solve problems instead of emotions and religious extremism. They've been raised to fear the outside world above all else. They see education, science, and progress as a direct attack on their values. I think it's possible they'll get there but we all have to be very gentle and careful not to spook them, or they'll double-down.

24. The best kind of medicine and therapy for humans be they in jail or out on the street or in regular life. This program is awesome and should be used everywhere.! Great for the dogs and the men! Thanks for doing this!👍💕

25. This lady used a leash called a "Gentle Leader" on her reactive dog. I have a reactive dog, too, and it's been instrumental in guiding her to be a less reactive dog.

29. This is the best program to help dogs and prisoners to find the real person they are and with the help of teaching the dogs have to behave and grow. Even with prisoners locked away they still can help in society and get these dogs in forever homes. ❤🦮

34. Wow! This is beyond wonderful. Very touching, all around, cause it becomes clear what has been missing in ll these lives in the first place. A no judging, unconditional love. What a sweet dog, she is perfect for this task. And seeig these hardened men become all sweet and playful and caring = exactly what is needed.
    Call me naive, but i believe in that, while also realizing, there is more to it, but without it…..i don't thik anything will change for the better.
