Morgan has a lot of good spooky stuff on her channel. The term Skinwalker is the English translation of the Navajo word for a kind of human being a class of Navajo human being. They are evil shaman and they have to do terrible things too get their powers but once they have their powers they can change into the appearance of different animals by wearing their skins. They have many other powers too. Initially people used that word for they now call White crawlers or Crawlers and sometimes they call them fleshgaits or maybe it's fleshgates. Not an identitarian and I'm not big on any of that virtue signaling stuff or claiming that people own certain hairstyles or anything like that but in the case of this word it means something very particular. It's not a matter of being offensive or something but it's just misidentifying the entity and confusing the two different kinds of entities by calling them the same thing when they are very different. If you don't live near Navajo territory you're highly unlikely to see an actual SW.

There is also a YouTube channel called Navajo Traditional Teachings or Navajo Traditional Wisdom which features a Navajo elder sharing just that. A group of Navajo decided to share this information in this way to ensure it lives on, according to the gentleman in the videos. That's a really good one too.
