I adopted a street dog from Memphis (who had a super-duper foster mom) who did not "present well." He still doesn't. But whenever he was in the car and saw another dog, puppy or grown, he cried because he wanted to play (he also did this when he saw human children). Now he has his own puppy and doesn't cry anymore when he sees other dogs or human children. He is wonderfully patient with her, engaging in strenuous wrestling (he's 10, she's 4), washing her face, biting her fleas (she doesn't have fleas), sleeping together.
It’s so sad that she didn’t even get to mother her own puppies, but at least she can get to cuddle everyone else’s! 😊❤️
