I boxed in my younger days and even with a winning record(22-8) i realized i was never going to be good enough to make a career of it, glad i didnt quit my day job. The weight cuts would leave me thrashed for days and even cutting down to 150 i was fighting guys with a ton of reach on me so i was taking unnecessary damage to get into range where i could fight effectively, the scar tissue around my eyes was getting bad enough that i was losing fights from Dr. stoppages instead of actually getting beaten. And ending up with stitches after every fight wasn't worth the few hundred bucks i was making.
