High Speed Pursuit (130+ mph) w/ Chevrolet Sonic & Arkansas State Police - SPIKES and PIT MANEUVER
Spread The Viralist

Note: The driver, Elisha Claiborn, has been released on a $40,000 while she awaits trial.

Report:

On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at approximately 9:32PM. I, Sgt. Farnam, was stationary operating radar on Interstate 40
eastbound near Mayflower. I observed a red passenger car in the number two (center) lane approaching at a high rate of
speed. Radar confirmed the vehicle was traveling 91 mph in a posted 75 mph zone. The vehicle then made an abrupt lane
change into the number three (outside) lane and continued eastbound at a high rate of speed.

I caught up to the vehicle near the 140-mile marker. At that point, the vehicle was traveling 100 mph and making erratic and
unsafe lane changes. I followed the vehicle to the Morgan-Maumelle exit (Exit 142), where I activated emergency lights to stop
the vehicle. The driver failed to yield, accelerated, and fled eastbound on I-40 at speeds exceeding 120 mph. The vehicle
continued to drive recklessly, weaving from the slow lane to the fast lane to pass other motorists with no regard for public
safety.

The suspect vehicle maintained eastbound travel on I-40 before transitioning to Interstate 430 southbound. Speeds remained in
excess of 120 mph with continued reckless operation with no regard for public safety. Trooper David Whipple deployed spike
strips on I-430 southbound at Cantrell Road; the suspect vehicle avoided the strips.

As the vehicle approached Shackleford Road, the front right tire began to disintegrate. I executed a tactical vehicle intervention
(TVI) just south of Shackleford Road. The suspect vehicle spun toward the right shoulder, regained control, and continued
southbound. Trooper Whipple assumed primary and successfully executed a second TVI, bringing the vehicle to a controlled
stop on I-430 southbound.

The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Faulkner County Unit 2 and charged with the following:

5-54-125(d)(3) 2023 – Felony Fleeing- Vehicle-Substantial Danger of Death
27-50-308(b)(1)(B) – Reckless Driving 1st
27-16-602 – NO DL
27-51-201 – Speeding more than 15
No damage was sustained to ASP patrol units. No injuries were reported to ASP personnel.

SUSPECT:

• Name: Elisha Claiborn
• Black / Female

  2. That girl isn't smart enough to drive the car, the dog was doing it by remote control from the back seat. Actually the dog is the only one worth worrying about, but he seems fine!

  3. So someone doing 91 in a 75 gives a cop the right to do almost double the speed limit to try and catch them? Thats more dangerous than letting them go about their business

  4. If she’s guilty of capital murder and robbery, I hope she’ll rot in prison until she’s 70 years old at minimum. People like her are hostile to society and dangerous.

  5. Did not realize that the Korean made shite box vehicle known as the Chevy Sonic could run that damn fast. What was so funny was how this stupid little girl was using her turn signals as she weaved through traffic at 100 miles per hour with four state troopers on her arse.
