  1. 2025 could have had a list on its own. I live in Taree NSW, Australia that had the worst flood in recorded history. A massive deluge of rain passed over the area, and while we were experiencing major flooding, the storm system did a U-turn and hit us again. Some areas saw a 14m wall of water pass through their homes. So much land was washed away that parts of the Manning River are a lot wider, and even flow in different directions.

  2. The Texasfloods were massivly talked about and dominated the news alot even here in europe. And its not that long ago so its still talked about. I feel it does not belong on this list

  3. 17:12 this is why GenAI videos and images should be outlawed

they are scummy, pointless, and useless for rescuers who relies on social media to actually rescue people

    fuck AI 🖇📎

  4. It feels so long ago since my local news radio station covered the Texas flooding, even though it was just last month. So much destruction came from that disaster, and it’s further proof that underestimating water’s power can be deadly.

  5. To be fair texas screwed themselves over by pushing forward with mid decade redistricting plans which sucked all of the air out of the flood response. While what happened was a tragedy and deserved way more attention than it got, republicans screwed their constituents over by focusing on the wrong thing.

  6. Hurricane Helene I personally feel has been forgotten by the media, with the exception of the local news reporting it. Being a native of WNC, I can tell you that it was the worst storm we ever had and that it will take years for us to be fully recovered.

  7. Her er oversettelsen av teksten:

"The reason I, as a Norwegian, have heard little about the ten disasters on the list is that in Norway, people are mostly focused on the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. At least, NRK is the one that keeps bringing it up in every single news broadcast, and thus there is little room for other news."
