  1. A F2 Tornado occured in south central los angeles on 1983/03/01. It travelled for 3.5 miles and was about 600 yards wide and lasted for 25 minutes from 7:40 am to 8:05 am PST. It caused 30 minor injuries. Tornadoes in California are more common in the central valley area then in the los angeles area. But even the central valley tornadoes never rival the powerful and deadly tornadoes in the united states great plains.

  4. Tornadoes can happen anywhere if the proper conditions are there.

Just because you have never seen one or heard of one happening, doesn't mean it never has happened.
