Yellowstone National Park is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Even just between the mountains and the wildlife, it would already be one of the most beautiful, but there are other features that make it truly unique. The thermal features at Yellowstone, including the famous painted pot pools, are some of the most striking features found anywhere. They almost don’t even look like they’re from this planet. But, as is often the case, this beauty is deceptive. Many of these pools bubble away at close to boiling, and some are as acidic as battery acid. I’m sure you can imagine what would happen if you were to fall in. These are the horrific incidents of Yellowstone National Park, and as always, viewer discretion is strongly advised.

I don't know what it is but I don't like Yellowstone. Yes its beautiful but it stinks like death
Fortunately I never witnessed any stupid behavior. YS is what I call a Darwin zone.
Why do people bring their DOGS to such an attractive but completely deadly park? Most dogs love water and swimming, and those dogs tend to head straight for it.
If you want to be stupid, don't drag innocent animals into your idiocy. You love your dog so much you'll jump in after them, yet you won't leave them at home where they're 100% guaranteed not to jump into a boiling vat of acid.
People suck.
Nooo…… you said what!? All those horrific deaths could have been avoided 🚶🏻♀️🐶💔 how about you just don’t take your pet and or child. Go alone, at your own risk. I think I have no desire to see YS National park anymore ….God forbid that super volcano erupts the day I decide to go see this beautiful yet dangerous volcano.
Lotta a.i.
Sad situations yes ,, but you just can not stop people when STUPID comes calling ! Every day you see it , yet you still do it and NOT just in Yellowstone . Don't worry every one has STUPID in them myself included . It's the degree of STUPID that gets you !
I hiked in yellowstone and came across boiling mud and almost accidently stepped in it.
How dumb can you be. There’s signs everywhere. Getting a doctorate but dumb enough to go to a restricted area and think your body is somehow impervious to the high temps and acidity….
All the dog ones I struggle to feel bad for fully cuz like why would you not have your dog on a leash in a are like that ESPECIALLY if you know they like to swim and dive for pools. Anyone who’s owned a dog knows that’s a learned and regular behavior
regarding the first guy: it's good for all future patients that he wasn't able to persue his career as a doc
TBH it disturbs me that people are willing to jump into boiling water to save a pet but not family members. Like Id expect the parents of that kid to do that more than a dog owner.
This is why I stay inside
Well part of why I stay inside
Glad people like this exist 😂
Being burned is probably my ultimate fear and I know I'll catch a lot of hate but the fact that it has happened to so many people and animals is one of the things that made me become an atheist. And then the fact that you got people to say if you don't believe they're wild story you will burn forever. That is evil and sadistic. So sad all those who lost their lives, I'm staying far away from those springs
Warning taken! there's nothing there that looks so beautiful I want to get my body anywhere near it, not even on boardwalks with rails. That poor guy that survived long enough to realize his mistake.
You forgot to mention the temperature of the boiling water.
Happened to an Asian tourist right in front of me. He jumped off the boardwalk set up a tripod to take a picture of his family step backwards and his leg went right down through the crust into boiling water. Soon as the screaming started my mother ushered me off down the boardwalk
Everyone in these stories are so stupid 😅
I visited Yellowstone just a month before that accident in 2016. I couldn’t imagine why folks would wander off when the signs show vividly the stuff that can happen.
Ehhh i think i'm fine watching the park trough my monitor, i don't need to drag along family, small kids, dogs etc to see this shit.
Not worth it.
7:10 Flailing your arms in agony is NOT trying to swim.
Lol.
Good to know DOGS and LEASHES are required at Yellowstone. I no leash trail hike all the time and can see this happening
Darwin award recipients.
I'm from Wyoming. Went to college as an ecology major and we went on a trip here with a crazy professor who took us into the back woods and told us to "walk in a straight line, because if the ground breaks" he would "go in first." Also told us we'd get a perma ban if we were found. Another professor brought her baby and one kid got burned through his shoe when the ground he was walking on sloughed off into a pool. Shoutout to Charlie Love, the crazy old bastard is probably dead by now.
Mother nature does not discriminate! And she does NOT care about you either 🤦♀️
