  1. Catahoula leopard cur as well, ive had mine 11 years , she's good with all animals all kids but very protective and so smart😊 also beautiful blue/ white eyes

  2. There's no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog with fur. Where there's fur, theres allergies. Only hairless dogs are hypoallergenic. He means to say no-shed. Labradoodle and Goldendoodles are NO-SHED, but they very much still produce allergic reactions in those that have canine dander allergies.

  3. Buddy, if a dog is capable of killing children with a single bite and the parents struggle more to control it, then that should always be out of the question. A fully grown adult can handle a Labrador but there's a video of a horse kicking a pitbull and the pitbull kept on attacking the horse

  4. The ACD What you also need to keep in mind is these dogs are smarter than your average adult human. They are not your average run around the house and ignore this dog type of pet. They must have a job or they will find their own, you won't like the jobs they invent.

  5. Yes!! Pitty is amazing!!! ❤ We have four children ages 5 and under and our guy is amazing!! We adopted him when he was 5 and that was 6 years ago. He had some things to work on but is such a loving guy who is fantastic with the kids.

  6. I disagree with these 3 picks as recommendations unless one is trying to be a dog trainer. Im a vet tech and maybe 1% of these dogs that come in are well trained. And the pitties are usually the nicest!! The individuals come in with their base personalities and are terribly trained.

  7. Ya where I live about a mile away there are pits running lose all the time but there no problem with them . Their friendly well feed they just look at you as they walk by

  8. I have a pitbull terrier and I can truely say they are amezing! Would not recommend them for firsttime owners but if you know what you are doing they are truely incredible. My dog is a puppysitter, athlete, cuddlebuddy, company mascotte, best friend and he can even help me clean up mess in the house (just because)

  9. I had a pitbull terrier – may he RIP after 14 beautiful years – I’d love another one –

Every doodle mix I have seen in the training classes we been to where I live come for 1-2 classes at most n disappear never to come back n are butt wild crazy 😵‍💫 – don’t know if it’s bad breeding cuz everyone wants one or what but that was my experience w them

  10. We've owned nothing but pits. Living on 5 acres and having horses, cows, chickens, rabbits, social skills where top things we looked for when researching and Pits were the top choice in that category.
Our pits treated every other animal like they were their own children and never let predators in our yard. One night 4 foxes got into the chicken coop and it only took two pits to kill every single one of them. Same dogs also protected us from intruders who tried to steal one of our horse trailers.
Pits are amazing family dogs and farm dogs when treated well and highly trained. I'd much rather trust a pit than some old lady's Chihuahua.

  11. Sorry. Pitbull ain’t a family dog. Wtf are you talking about. Yeah, a 1 in a 100 good genes, raised perfect, trained to an insane level. Sure. But 80-90% of people and families can’t find the right breedeer or the patience for the proper training. Then they can turn and kill your neighbors dog or bite your children friends to maybe death. It’s insane you put it on the list.

  12. Good luck training the Blue dogs not to herd the kids! Not only that, they'll nip at their heels as well 😅😅 They're called Blue Heelers for a reason!

  13. Tbh i would recommend border collie over cattle dog anyday. They are generally great with children i was brought up around them & had one when my daughter was born no issues with dog, make sure you get training down & if you can commit to exercise & mental stimulation then they are best dogs with generally sound even temperament. They are generally healthy breed not too bad on grooming front unlike doodle mixes etc coats are a nightmare to keep.

  14. Thank you for mentioning pitbulls.

My puppy is a German shepherd pitbull mix, who is roughly around seven months old. We rescued her from a local pound and she’s on the small side.

Last Friday I got harassed inside a local grocery store by a guy. I was so weirded out by the whole thing that I called my mom, who was waiting in the car with our dogs.
I even got a walk out from store staff because I was so freaked out. I made it all the way back safely to the car and the store employee made sure that I had the door open. The employee even waited until safely with my mom and dogs.
About 30 seconds after the employee had headed back for the front of the store, I heard the same man’s voice behind me.
My stomach dropped and my mom was already trying to get out of the car. My mother is older, but still a force to be reckoned with and pretty strong when she’s angry.

But that didn’t give him any pause. However, the black void of doom made him think twice. She can’t snarling and trying to climb over the top of me, pulling me further into the car and trying to put herself between me and him. This triggered my husky to realize something was seriously wrong, they both went on high protective alert. In the aftermath we realized that they had both broken their safety seat tethers. My pit mix had pulled so hard that she broke her carabiner clip so severely that metal sticking out of it. The husky had pulled so hard that the attachment latches had warped in shape.

I will never stop being grateful for my girls and before anyone asks no, they’ve never had formal protection dog training. they just realized that their mommy was scared and that man was coming up behind me. He had gotten really close. But my girls are why he thought twice.
I have no doubt that without my incredible girls, that situation would’ve ended very differently.
