Did you guys agree with my thoughts?? All in all, street fights should be avoided!
If you're looking for some fun heavy bag workouts, check out my program: https://www.mmashredded.com/heavybagworkouts
Can you add anything to this after competing in two season of the ultimate self defence championships?
I always carry a weapon pepper spray 3-inch knife etc so my main goal is to get distance to use the weapon and then run lol
What do you mean you are not an expert 😂😂😂, greetings from Palestine and Chechen
Did you do that tutorial on getting back up from bottom in a fight
Should start boxing or Muay Thai first
Side kick to the body or knee?
Please do update
Why does everybody in this video have massive legs?
Definitely running hip sweep. 👍 Very few guys you'd encounter on the street would have ever seen anything like that and you could probably get them easy if you knew how to set it up.
Also another reason not to try to turn it into a jujitsu roll is that they will bite you, scratch you, gouge your eyes, grab your nuts or all kinds of other shit that people won't do on the mat.
Huge fan Jeff, please do more judo! And I beg you to try out Buhurt (armored combat) one day, maybe for a Halloween episode for fun, haha. I would die to hear your opinions on what would be effective in profights(fights go to the ground in armor).
Those multiple attacker drills are so good. Best self defence really is the 100m sprint. Gonna try this with some of my friends after next class! I train muay thai but honestly don't know what I'd do vs multiple people besides get dragged t the ground and beaten. I'd probably try to throw some headbutts and spinning elbows xD.
I am actually getting back into training again boss. I passed the bar and in practice for 2 years and I am out of shape. I have more losing cases than winning ones as a public defender and threats are now prevalent more since more unfavorable judgments are being unloaded recently. Seeing my clients eye me and wait for me after office hours, I am switching fron my previous Muay Thai training to MMA based. I am a small dude (pacific islander, filipino, 5'2) and gained alot which slowed me down alot as well. Other than firearms training, Thanks for this video since this is what I was looking for recently. I hope I can avoid fights and if needed and unarmed, i could kick ass in formal attire on my feet like you. Thanks for the inspiration Boss Jeff 🤙
Aim for the jewels. 🤣🤣
How to doge some aggressively coming towards you and punch.
I don't understand how you can say street fight and self defence in the same sentence in a manner like their the same thing, self defence is a legal term and mma and self defence are polar opposites, one is about avoiding violence and the other is being the violence. Unless your plan is to deliberately use street fighting as an income or right of passage you shouldn't be training the sport of mma and then expect to be a good street fighter. And visa versa, there are rules that govern each modern sport and until they make street fighting an official sport there will be no rules, said Indiana Jones with a pistol to the guy swinging to swords. And the guy who through ice at me outside a pub but had 25 mates lurking in the rear .
The hip sweep has the greatest chance of success when the opponent overreaches with a hay maker or a straight punch that brings his weight forward of his feet.
Low kicks with the tips of hard shoes or hiking boots. Nothing like the tip of a hard boot to the knee cap.
Yeah with that running sweep, I’m thinking the untrained may panic and do one of two things: 1) cover up or lean back because “oh shoot, he’s coming at me!” Or 2) start throwing punches wildly anyways.
I think either way, unless you somehow have the download on how he fights that fast, I’d probably not risk the sweep.
