14. The Chinese in general have utter contempt for the well-being of animals. No other country comes even close to the level of mistreatment of animals seen in China… Animals are treated with indifference at best, and deliberate cruelty at its worst.
    Side note: The people from Hong Kong are completely different, and treat animals pretty much like most westerners do
    And for the pearl clutchers that want to argue: yes: i have been to both places and yes: seen it with my own eyes.

15. Great story and a lovely pet. But dog meat trade in China? There's no truth in this at all. In fact the Chinese are known to love their pets and go out of their way to comfort them.
