10:20 this is the one that hits home for me – I live in RI and I was 6 years old at the time – my dad almost went to that show with his friends but decided not to at the last minute. His friend was outside when the fire started and he ran up to help pull people out of windows, the sheer heat coming from the building fried his arms + face. Ive met several other people in my life who were injured + lost their friend(s) in this fire. I drive past the memorial left in it's place, almost daily.

Space shuttle Columbia did not explode, it broke apart. A disintegration and an explosion can be two different things at times.
Columbia's internal frame was weakened by the plasma and hot gases entering the left wing, and the shuttle was subsequently ripped apart by aerodynamic forces. Challenger on the other hand did explode because it was blown apart by the highly-pressurized external tank when the right booster slammed back into the stack after breaking off. Columbia had little to no fuel remaining, with none of it stored in the belly or wings. The explosion heard across America was actually a sonic boom from the orbiter and its pieces as it was travelling over a dozen times the speed of sound.
I feel bad for Emma personally. I had to quite a job after a their stole money from a zoltar during my shift. I didn't engage. She threatened to fire anyone it happened to if we didn't try to stop him or anyone else if it happened again. I told her I refused to put my life in danger for her $300's. She threatened me and called me selfish so I quite. I have children and I don't carry firearms. Nor were they allowed at my job. But as my job had open Street entry anyone was allowed to walk in without any checks for firearms.
The worst part about the Challenger disaster is that NASA and Morton Thiokol (a chemical company that was contracted to build the boosters) knew about the O-rings, engineers had complained about the material not being robust enough in certain temperatures but some higher-ups didn't want delays or over-runs on budget so they pretended it was fine and killed SEVEN PEOPLE. The engineers had given their concerns along with possible work-arounds but the engineers were ignored and despite there being known issues with the O-rings not providing adequate seals as far back as 1981, Morton Thiokol refused to revise the design even though the secondary rings – meant to be a backup in case the primaries failed – were proven to be insufficient. So, after a few bad tests in a row, finally, Morton Thiokol did redesign it but they decided to not go ahead and put those redesigns into the Challenger's boosters which had already been built because time and money would be lost (I guess the seven lives didn't even equate to them). When engineers on the day of the launch remarked that due to the cold it would be a much safer option to delay the launch, the directors of both NASA and Morton Thiokol ignored them, said nothing, and went ahead with the launch. Infuriating. In my opinion, everyone who knew and had the ability to stop the launch should have been convicted of murder.

It's hard to tell if Anjora was being brave or stupid. On one hand, his heart was in the right place. On the other, he narrowly escaped the flames.
Every time I see a fire at a club (more often than I like) most of the deaths are always due to a blockage in the door, and a lot of the deaths are always crush based. Whenever you go to a club you need to find the fire exits (and make sure they don't have a bloody padlock on) and stay close to it when dancing and having fun, you can still have a great night. But this type of death is way too common.
My aunt said during the nz chch earthquake a family friend was on a date with her fiance and the restaurant collapsed on them (if i remember correctly only the family friend survived)
