Lost my would’ve been uncle to a single sucker punch while standing on concrete. Of course it being New York City they ruled “it was the ground that killed him and not the punch” and the guy walked away. It’s a big fear and cautionary tale in my family.

That's why I carry a knife and a brass knuckles, they are illegal in some places, but I prefer jail over death. Plus, some judges are pretty lenient if you are not the agressor.

This is so true. Fighting in parking lots, playground blacktops, basketball courts, or in the streets is extremely dangerous. My nephew Austin, who is a great young Christian, was forced to fight someone larger than him. He's not small either at 6'3" 200 lbs. and in great shape, even for someone in their early 20s. Austin ended up getting in a good hit on the guy and he fell back, striking his head on the pavement, causing swelling on the kid's brain, and causing him to slip into a coma for several weeks. With not so much as a speeding ticket and even though the guy jumped him, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison and he did just over 2 and a half years of that time. You have to be careful out there.
