Angels walking among us
It always amazed me how the minute they get out of the shelter and into a car… Their entire spirit lifts beyond belief immediately. They know they are safe and out of a scary situation… They are just so excited as to where they are going next and totally sense the energy about the people that got them were kind, calm, and affectionate. This coming from a shelter adopter of many dogs in my life. They've all been great once trained, had time to decompress, loved. and bond. They have an unreal ability to forgive the way people that had treated them poorly once you earn their trust. Their trust becomes super protective and their bond is very strong in my experience .
