  1. As a first-time dog owner, this video is exactly what I've been searching for and has been a total game changer! Every youtube dog trainer has tips on how to train different behaviors but you are the ONLY ONE to clearly outline where and how to start!
It is extremely overwhelming to feel like you are dropped into this puppy's life, responsible for teaching it everything it will ever know, but you have no map for how to get you there. This video alone increased my puppy-parent confidence immeasurably and I can't thank you enough! (Have I now watched almost all your videos? Yup! Have I advised my boyfriend that you are the only dog trainer we will be listening to, moving forward? YUP!)
I want my little 8 week bernese (soon to be not-so-little bernese) to have the best life possible and I have been so scared I would fail her because I wouldn't know how to give it to her. I don't feel that way anymore and it's such an enormous relief

  2. I have an 8wk old cocker spaniel boy just got a few days ago. He’s a sweet wee thing.
I’m trying to teach him but he’s very food driven and gets overexcited with the treats to the point he won’t listen. He’s just consumed with sniffing out and finding the treat. When he can’t find it he starts mouthing and biting/tugging clothes.
    Any suggestions?

  3. I’m literally gonna get a pitbull puppy in four weeks. I’ve already seen the little guy but he’s only four weeks old right now so we are waiting until he is about eight weeks but we’re gonna be visiting him every weekend.

  4. The focus thing is so interesting. I had never heard about it anywhere, and it truly does make a lot of sense to train it into your dogs. I don't yet have a puppy (I'm doing my research previous to getting it), but I'll definitely be using this when I do. Keep up the great work!

  5. Quick question if you still answer your YouTube, but how early is too early to train? I got some Auskies from my grandpa, and they are currently about 5 weeks old. I have them able to sit, down, used to their name, used to their leash and collar, and just got them to stop sitting when i try to get them to walk on leash! Was just wondering if maybe their brain hasnt fully developed and the stimulation might hurt? Idk, just rather be safe

  6. As a side notr to your video, i think it might better if you can include actual footage of the tips you are giving. You have good explanations but it can compliment way better the video with actual examples.

  7. AMAZINGLY HELPFUL! Thank you so much. My puppy comes home on Monday and it's my first time with a puppy and this is such a wonderful start with so much incredible information.

  8. I just had to leave a comment because this video really exceeded my expectations. The level of detail and the way you explained everything was beyond impressive. It’s obvious that you’ve put a lot of effort into creating this content, and it shows! I especially loved the examples you used; they made everything much more relatable and easier to grasp. Plus, the pacing was perfect — not too fast, not too slow. I didn’t feel overwhelmed at any point, and I really appreciated that. The high-quality production value also stood out to me; it felt like I was watching a professional tutorial rather than just a casual YouTube video. This is the type of content that makes me want to follow you and see what else you have in store. Thank you for providing such value to your viewers, and I’m definitely looking forward to your next video!

  9. I’m super happy to have found this video as the new owner of an 8 week old puppy, I really didn’t know where to start but thanks to this video I know I can now focus on focus and regularity. I hope I find another video about potty training in an apartment (because I’m not outside right away, that takes a few minutes, I also have to lift my puppy because of climbing stairs)

  10. I have a corgi puppy 10 weeks old. She already has leant her name (Fergie) I have only had her for 2. Days. I can call her when she is in full play mode with my other 8 year old corgi (desexed Male) When should I take her first walk on a lead. I don’t want to over tax her brain if you know what I mean. 😊

  11. unfortunatly my routine is:
Come home from work and take the puppy out of the crate after he has been running around in "wee" and poop for 8 hours and then take him outside to wee!
what can you do to train a dog right when you have to have a job to afford him in the first place???
