  1. I lost about 50lbs in 9 months. I struggled to build muscle at the same time I was losing weight, but didn’t realize I wasn't getting enough protein at 125g-150g a day while I weighed 225-275lbs. I added 75-100g of protein a day via protein shakes which slowed down my weight loss a little bit, but started making strength gains every week and still lost another 5-10lbs in 3 months. I think I probably added 5lbs of muscle (maybe more because I added creatine) at the same time as losing weight. I have visible abs and now am going to cut down to 12%BF- then clean bulk and try to gain 20lbs in a year, with hopefully 75% of it being lean mass.
