In this ultimate Dominican food tour in the Dominican Republic, we’re driving from Santo Domingo to Monte Cristi in the very north, to search for local Dominican food – welcome to the ultimate Dominican food road trip!
Check out Moises: https://www.instagram.com/moisesviaja/ Huge thank you for Moises for taking me on this Dominican street food tour.
Plaza Jacaranda, Bonao, Dominican Republic (https://maps.app.goo.gl/dZZbeTBDGtUwbvm77) – We’re starting with a classic breakfast of Mangú – mashed plantains, along with cheese and sausage, a proven combination and something many people eat for breakfast.
Arepa Don Luis (https://maps.app.goo.gl/ETriCqCdmdee3qP2A) – In the DR, an arepa is something totally different than in other countries – it’s a corn cake, that’s slightly sweet. And Mr. Don Luis is a legend, he’s a human calculation who knows exactly what weight he’s cutting off at a time and guesses it perfectly.
Las 4F Restaurant (https://maps.app.goo.gl/HDNpbkT5PdbGXjNZ7 ) – Next up we’re continuing to the town of Moca which is famous in the Dominican Republic for a dish called mofongo, a mashed plantain dish including crispy pork chicharon and orange juice, and lots of cheese. It was amazing.
Lechonera Hermanos Ramos (https://maps.app.goo.gl/ngotdn5Y9QojbRHx5) – We continued to the mountains to a place called Mamey, Dominican Republic, in search of lechon, roasted pig. And this place is amazing. I especially loved their bitter orange pepper sauce.
Parada La Madona (https://maps.app.goo.gl/r8NBBzUyn8q88AZq9) – In the very north of the DR is Hato del Medio Arriba, famous for serving goat, and the goat here was fresh and tasty.
Monte Cristi – And after a long day of driving and eating we made it to Monte Cristi on the very northern coast of the Dominican Republic. This was an incredible day of really local Dominican food, and off the beaten path!

Mark ,For me The Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 is Home ❤my Favorite place. So Glad to see you finally enjoying it .
Too bad mark doesn’t keep it real on what he likes and doesn’t like .. he just pretends to like every single food he’s ever eaten which is super corny 😢
The Dominican must translate into Spanish; many of us don't know English. He just wants to eat. 😂
Only thing good is the Mangu
Dr food is a must try trust me it's delicious 🇩🇴 🌴
La Republica Dominicana 🇩🇴
Mark is one of the best foodie YouTuber out there, plus he is a great guy. Thanks for visiting our country

I can't believe this is happening, i've waited years for mark to come to DR 😍
Moises🔥🔥🔥
I got the worst food poisoning in DR I went there on business several times and one time ate at a roadside barbque and spent 2 days in the bathroom and bed in my Casita at Casa De Campo Never been so sick
I know Mark needs his own plate for breakfast he was forced to share kkkk it wasn't enough for him
Wow man! Dominican food is something else, so amazing. Moises really knows the spots 🙌🏽✨
Moca😎😎😎😎😎
El moises mi hermanooo🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My favorite breakfast, Los tres golpes.
Amazing presentation, my friend! Thank you!
You forgot the best part of Jacaranda 😉 We always stop there to get the fresh mozzarella like cheeses and the crackers, they sell it in the small supermarket part! Kinda surprised Moses didnt know or tell about it because as far I know every dominican knows that lol. Cant wait to go back there in November!
Good morning Miss Camile you are doing such a great job. May God bless you and may your food basket never empty wish your daughter all the best and a fast recovery. You are a great mother 🙏🏾
At last!! Someone that has showed the real DR culinary experience
Let gooo! Happy to see u here.
🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴
In love!! Thanks for coming to DR! ❤
Awww yeah that's legit. The ultimate Dominican food.
Mark, adding beans to moro (rice and peas) is not really tipical in DR. If you want to make moro more juicy, you can add guiso (the sauce of the stewed meat). All the food there looked delicious. Moises is a good guide 💯
I watched your shows all through, since I had my babies. But markwiens I m extremely disappointed to see that part of humanity in the actual genocide it didn't come at all. No words about those babies slaughtered despite the fact that you have been visiting a part of Palestine. It's not about being politically involved it's about being human. I do hope you might make an appearance and take a stance against famine… It's about being human, no money in the world can actually replace the stance against evil
Mofongo is a dish from Puerto Rico. I was born and raised in the DR.
