  1. Hey everyone, thanks so much for all the positive comments, but we’ve seen a few comments from people who were worried about how we handled certain moments with Amara, and we completely get it. When you care about animals, it’s natural to feel protective, especially when you’re watching a dog as scared as she is.

We just wanted to share a bit more context…

Every rescue is different, and honestly, there’s no one “correct” way to help a dog through fear. Some might’ve left her in the bush to decompress, and if we’d done that, I’m sure others would’ve said we were cruel for leaving her out there for hours in 30°C heat. It’s never black and white, and you really can’t please everyone.

We also reached out to the shelter team she came from multiple times for guidance (and still do). They actually told us to get her out of the bush, because it was 30°C and she had been in there for a while. That wasn’t us acting on instinct, it was advice from professionals who knew her history better than anyone.

What we can do is stay open, keep learning, and put the dog’s wellbeing first. We’ve never had a rescue as shut down as Amara, and we don’t pretend to be professionals, but we do reach out to professionals, especially when we feel out of our depth. And if their advice makes sense to us, we follow it.

Our setup is also different from something like Rocky Kanaka’s (we love you Rocky btw) you’re seeing a home with space, dogs, and lots of moving pieces. We included a lot of moments where we gave her space, avoided eye contact and sat low, but we also can’t share every silent hour of decompressing in real time.

We appreciate every person who cares enough to watch, even if we don’t always get it perfect. We’re doing our best, and more than anything, we just want to help dogs feel safe again.

And a special thank you to the many of you who do get it, who understand that not everything can be shown in a single video, and that rescue work isn’t always straightforward.
If you’ve ever fostered or rescued before, you know just how tough, and unpredictable it can be 😅
We appreciate you more than you know.

    Much love
    – Golden Kobe Family 💙

  2. Although I'm sure your content is very edifying, I can't subscribe as the quick, jerky movements of the camera overstimulates my eyes, making it difficult for me to watch as I would end up having a migraine. Best wishes with the dogs..

  3. Thank you for rescuing this poor doggie, and all the others you rescue constantly. Dogs deserve LOVE and a WARM HOME. Please use harnesses when posible ❤️🙏❤️

  4. There is no one rule to train all dogs. After 3 days in the van she needed many hours to de-compress. Don't look directly at her. Provide her a corner, a crate open door, or just a screen for her to stay out of sight but be able to watch you. When she has watched everything for a few days she will relax. Leave some water. Small biscuits on the ground (not thrown) as a bowl will cause too much focus, she wont eat while nervous. She was happy in the bush, than on the hot concrete, you created a Bad First Experience. Improvement will take longer by this set back. You would do better to sing or hum and classical music rather than your up and down voices. After three days in a crate in a van, the last thing she wants is confinement in the house……with no corner to hide.

  5. Worst thing you can do is drag a traumatized dog by the lead! Ignore, avoid eye contact , carry on as normal but completely ignore . These traumatized dogs need other dogs around they do not need humans. It takes weeks, it takes months and they will always have issues!! Do not drag by the lead , it is a threat to them that once again they will be hurt.

  6. A few weeks ago, I was chatting with a friend about how manifesting never seemed to work for me. I’d tried so many methods but still felt stuck. We heard about a book called Manifest the Unseen by Luna Rivers on a podcast, and I was hesitant at first. But after reading just a few chapters, I realized how much I was missing. Luna's approach is so different from anything I’ve ever tried. It’s not just about thinking positive, it’s about aligning with real-world actions that bring your desires into reality. Now, I’ve manifested opportunities I never imagined possible, and my mindset has shifted completely. If you’re frustrated like I was, don’t hesitate. Read this book. It will change everything ❤

  7. This comment section probably won’t remember me, but maybe someone scrolling needs this. A few months ago I hit a wall. Nothing made sense. I bought Manifest the Unseen by Luna Rivers after seeing it here on yt. I had no expectations. But chapter by chapter, it broke something open in me. Not motivation — momentum. Wishing that for you too.✨❤

  8. So many people praised this book Manifest the Unseen by Luna Rivers that I finally had to see for myself. No regrets whatsoever this book genuinely opened my eyes. Manifestation finally makes sense, and the changes Ive experienced are incredible. It deserves all the recommendations its getting. Don't sleep on this!

  9. If you're reading this right now, I just want to say; I'm rooting for you. We’re strangers, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care. I know what it’s like to feel like you're pushing a boulder uphill. I felt that way until I picked up Manifest the Unseen by Luna Rivers I can’t explain it perfectly, but it changed my whole perspective. After checking it out on youtube and reading it things have been flowing—money, peace, confidence. Maybe this is your moment too. Stay open. Wishing you more than you ever imagined! 💫💰

  10. Just be confident and gentle when you speak to her…don’t change your tone to sound so pleading and pitchy. They know what normal speaking sound is and feel comfortable if you sound comfortable.
Speak like you do to your dogs! Happy and confident! She’ll follow that emotion more quickly. Thanks for loving these sweet pups!❤

  11. I know nothing about dog rehabilitation or training. This is a genuine question. What would be wrong if they just left her alone for a little bit and let her come to them I think I’m a little confused.

  15. Love these people for taking Amara in, but the best thing they could have done is have a big glop of cooked ground beef in their hands to welcome her with. Ask me how I know.

  16. "I'll give her some space"
Standing right facing her, fixing her, holding a strange object directed to her too… I call that the camer syndrome : "hey I'm just an eye, I doesn't exist" (I see the same for dashcamers, and it's close to the bystander effect).
Fortunately you quickly gone inside and gave her the time to calm down a bit, she was justt arrived terrorized… Don't jump at her so fast.
Same for Kobe after that, you know he knows she is around, he can smell, but you feel the need to "urge" to find amara quicker than that… for the sake of the video ?
Let them do, Kobe can find Amara alone, what dogs are best known to do.
When she is dragger to the shade, and she instant hide behind the man, that's because she is scared of the woman standing right to her fixing her, holding that hecking camera. And you don't see it…
