    One: The whole combine thing can be back tracked to candy cadet, thing being combined and ends in tragedy.

    Two: I like to think in the mimic actually found Williams corpse and used it to fight Gregory, which falls in line with the whole mimic getting confused of who they are.

In security breach ruined, candy cadet tells a tale about a mother and her son who lived in the dark wood where a monster lived. the mother had caught that monster who the boy had feared but mum(fiona) says "dont worry, it cant escape" than would sing a lullaby so mabye it was always the other way around and edwin singing the lullaby was how he coped with his depression. it reminded him of the love of his life who had died.
