  2. Durian is one of those things that you either love it or hate it. Not all Thai people like it, but I do. The riper it is, the stronger the odour and the mushier the texture. There are many varieties too. Some are better than other. Therefore, if you want to try durian, make sure you don't buy the over-ripe ones. Once you've got over the distinctive smell, you may find that it is the most scrumptuous fruit you've ever tasted.

  4. I missed this comment before. I agree, it's not stronger in smell than cheese, but I'd much rather eat durian than cheese everyday!
