  1. The CEO's always get away with crimes. Sometimes their companies are fined or "criminally charged" (can you jail a Corp? No so what's the point) but rare for the CEO's to have charges brought.

  2. I respect your hope, but I have no faith in the justice system whatsoever. Esp in the midst of all this Epstein stuff.

The good left in the world is me. And people like you. And the victims in this situation. But I don't think there's a lick of good in any of the systems of power we live under. 😅

  3. Not to victim blame but who the fuck in their right mind chooses to STAY ANYWAY?! FUCK THAT JOB!! ITS GETTING FLOODED!! You wouldn’t be able to work anyway!! Like what???? I don’t understand that part but this dude really needs jail too. What is with this fuck ass system

  4. I hope for some justice for the families. This is absolutely insane. Our justice system doesn’t exist anymore. Crime is legal now so long as you’re a CEO. Just sad. I hate it here.

  5. Corporates have no soul and no heart. My first job was at a cookie factory, and we had a hurricane come through. Still had to go to work. Winds high enough to shake my car, roads flooded, power lines down, traffic lights down, still had to come to work. I had to risk my life because HEAVEN FORBID some tourists dont have ridiculously overpriced mediocre cookies for a little bit.

  6. Ok but who's risking their life over getting fired. That's their fault, don't get me wrong he's a pos. But that's their fault.

  7. What I would do is honestly everyone at that company quit. Just straight up quit not even strike. Quit and publicity tell no one to apply to work there. Just shut the entire company down because no one will work at it.

  8. Something is so inherently wrong with america. The extraction mindset is so common with capitalists it’s just going to get worse.

  9. Shit my company sends us home if it even starts raining hard enough. Not saying they are perfect but they would never put us in dangerous situations. The CEO doesn't call us employees. He calls us his co-workers.

  10. Dude is clearly a cold hearted jerk but also a PR idiot. He should have offered each family financial help to soften the burden of the tragedy. Even if he says this isn’t proof of guilt the bad PR and hatred he is facing would have lessened and he would have looked at least human. But now he looks like Scrooge McDuck counting his pennies. Hopefully the lawsuits pan out.

  11. American justice system works like this.

Judge: "Evidence suggests that the defendant is famous and/or wealthy, and thus an exemplary human being, therefore I have no other choice but to apologize for the inconvenience. Case dismissed!"

    OR

Judge: "Evidence suggests that the defendant is a working class loser, and thus a threat to public safety, therefore I have no other choice but to condemn this vulgar criminal. Guilty by default on all accounts!"

  12. Ngl, the first video on this apology is somehow my most rewatched August video, was not expecting a follow up ever, but not complaining, well, I am now after hearing he got out of this scot-free

  13. I work in HR and the CEO’s words are extremely deliberate. “Nobody was threatened with termination for leaving,” sure, it would be unbelievably stupid to directly tell employees that they would be fired if they left. HOWEVER, “you’ll be subject to the attendance policy if you leave your shift early” (aka, possibly terminated) is very different, technically means what the CEO said is “true,” and plausible for management to say to employees. It’s extremely sad that no fault was found in this and I hope the employee’s families can one day find peace and justice.

  14. the worst part about this, that man didn't even look like he'd have long enough time to atone for his bs even if justice really do come at his door

  15. With all due respect to your righteous anger, there is a huge mountain right behind the plant!!!! How do you drown in a flood when you're standing at the foot of a huge mountain!?

  16. Only way to get the truth is by suing the company for liability. I hate saying that but it seems to be the only way to get any truth out there.

  17. In Canada, there was a terrible disaster at Westray Mines that killed many workers. The safety violations were so egregious that people were outraged that Occupational Health and Safety violations could not result in jail time. it was an uphill struggle, but criminal penalties were included in the health and safety laws. This nearly shut down the meat packing industry, during covid, as an employee contracted covid at the workplace and died. However, as the employer had been following the safety guidelines, the employer was not deemed criminally responsible for the death.

If Impact Plastics was operating in Canada and the CEO refused to allow workers to get to safety, the CEO would be spending his time in prison, with only the "faint hope' clause" giving him any hope of release before the end of his life.

When there was severe flooding in my area, not only were we sent home, early, people on the second shift were called and told not to come in.

  18. She is a cartoonishly horrible person. I can't get my head around somebody actuallu being like she really seems to be. She's like en evil elementary school lunch lady who got promoted.

  19. The company not being found at fault is disgusting. Those family’s just got left to rot, and a bill for the funeral of their loved one. Plus the grief. Ceo looks like a bulldog.
