  3. i DO NOT want to seem like I am some uncaring monster but the guy that knocked out the window to help save his family. Why didn't he use a chair or broom or even the iron or a pot or pan to knock the window out? My heart do go out to him just seem like a waste of a good man.

  6. The clown /Abbott can send the National Guard to protest, but want sent NG to help find missing people from the flood.😢😢😢😢

  7. Don the Con and Lon the Mushboy and their cherished DOGE (Department of Government e- Stupidity) MURDERED these people. They FIRED hundreds of people in the national weather service including hydrologists who monitor, analyze and predict water movement, rainfall, storms, rivers, and floods

  8. Tens of thousands moved to higher ground, while others didn’t. We all know how common it is to silence your phone at night, but with this weather event keeping the cell phones off was truly tragic. Between 6pm Thursday and 4am Friday, there were 8 NWS alerts. These were sent out region-wide – much like an Amber alert or Emergency Broadcast System. The Southern regional headquarters of NWS was fully staffed in anticipation of flooding. Managers called in personnel from other districts and shifts – much like a hospital would if there was a mass-casualty event, or a state fire division might do when a brushland fire breaks out.

Two different outcomes for two different camps, Camp Mystic and Camp Mo Ranch, each had hundreds of campers and are located just miles apart along the banks of the same river. One camp lost dozens, and the other camp none. What happened?

The camp director at Mo Ranch regularly checked National Weather Service reports: flood advisories were first and later came the flood warnings (advisories are different than warnings). He monitored the situation closely, and kept his phone on. He got the audio alarms on his cell phone; and he also took a short walk to the river and saw for himself that it was rising. So when NWS issued a flood warning update at 1:29 am (3 hours BEFORE the flash flood hit at 4:30 am) he followed the NWS order and moved his campers to higher ground and safety.

A Camp Mystic counselor interviewed by local news said that their camp staff, as well as campers, aren’t allowed to carry cell-phones. Okay, that’s very common at summer camps. But why didn't the Mystic camp director and her assistants get the girls out – the ones who slept in cabins next to the river?

Some are blaming federal budget cuts, but it doesn’t matter how much money is spent if people don’t use their heads. NWS did a great job of sending out alerts and advising people get to higher ground.

  9. WE HAVE SM HEROS WHEN THINGS LIKE THIS HAS GONE DOWN..EXSPECIALLY THE DAD THAT SAVED HIS FAMILY NNTHE 2 LITTLE GIRLS THEY FOUND STILL HOLDING HANDS AND A ROSERY

  10. So the US has money to put troops all over Asia and the Middle East, but has no money for flood control. Hahaha what a useless country, the American dream is trash now

  11. The grand strategic blunder:
    1. Building highest nuclear arsenal at the cost of?
2.Big besutiful bill (withdrawing subsidies from the renewables), at the cost of?
    Operational falacy :
1.Satellites for the space force but not for the EW for natural calamities.

    Tactical nightmare:
1.Permission for building summer camps instead of marking it as RESERVED , no lesson taken from the history.

Every life is so precious : cant be compared to any amount of money : doubtful? Ask the parents who lost their children .

  12. Im sorry for the loss of common sense it takes to not be where water is and to go to sleep comfortably as if nothing could possibly go wrong….so many day's of warnings and we're still at this point …WHO FAILED???

  13. Now the greedy elites using floods instead of fire to wipe out people and take the land. And notice what structures they specifically targeted. Do your research, this corruption has to stop. And these fear mongers need to stop using climate change as an excuse to cover their actions, disgusting. This was not an act of nature, it was an act of heartless creatures. We can see the truth.
