  1. Stances are nice and basic, but being fluid in a fight helps more than being boxed in. It’s better to be adaptable so your opponent cannot easily read your next move

  2. Not sure I totally agree with the belated stance thing. In Mui Thai a more squared stance is definitely helpful and on the street whatever stance you happen to be in when you are attacked will be your fighting stance.

  3. Hi nice quick break down. For boxing it seems like a great stance. For Muay Thai, the body would be less of a target, but the leg is more exposed for the leg kick. Maybe you can train checking from this position till it’s not a problem anymore, but your offense from the lead leg attacks still seems like a problem. Seems like the footwork for teeps, switch kicks, and long knees wouldn’t be as fluid. If you could explain further or do you know any famous fighters that have great Muay Thai offense from the lead leg specifically while in the bladed stance I could go watch?
