5. This was a photo of the girls walking through flood waters to arrive at their camp. This is NOT a photo of them being evacuated from the camp. The adults should have abandoned their camping plans, got back onboard their transportation, and taken the girls safely home.

15. Many have lost their lives and several unaccounted for. I know this area, and unfortunately it is in a valley near Guadalupe river. It rose to over 20 feet within 45 minutes. Please pray for the families who have lost their loved ones. Many of the staff and several more kids unaccounted for. Plus nearby neighbors and other small towns. So devastating and sad.

24. As a former camper there who has memorized the landscape of the camp, I’m here to provide more information to those who want it. That building right there is the pavilion. It’s really just one wall, and a roof, but it’s the best thing we have. And the fact that the girls are ankle deep scares me because that area they’re in is at least 25 feet above the river and very far from it. I’m hoping the girls there are okay. Sending love to the families of the ones who died ❤️

    Angry that these emergencies are slowly losing funding and personnel they could once depend upon, before DOGS gutted FEMA.
