I Went Undercover to Win a Huge Pokemon Tournament
Spread The Viralist

I entered a tournament in disguise – a tournament with over 10,000 people – and I won the entire thing without anybody realizing it was me. This is the story of how (and why!) I did it.

  1. @WolfeyVGC Wolfey! Science Teacher and fan here.

I just wanted to say that the most incredible part of this run to me was your reaction to loss at 3:09:21

He calmly voices his frustration, but redirects frustration with the game into frustration at being in that position in the first place, which he directly controls through teambuilding and pokemon selection. He repeats what he's learned so that his dismay turns into growth. And he moves on immediately to continue pursuing his goal.

Then, 3:10:50, he voices again his feelings that are still lingering on the previous match, but his tone is more carefree. He repeats that his feelings are natural, and then finally shakes off his frustration and then never brings it up afterwards.

As a teacher and a person who loves to see growth, I just wanted to say these moments stuck out to me more than your wins.

I've known for years that you can win, but now I know that you can lose, too. That's a way more impactful strength to me.

Keep fighting for the top! We're all behind you!

EDIT: I even noticed a small weaponized version of this mental strength when I rewatched Wolfey's final fight at 3:25:04 where he had a devastating turn 1, but went through this ENTIRE reflection process lightning quick and mid-match to come back from behind and out-think for the win!

  2. I thought of a Pokemon it’s called Henry it has 200 speed Def Sp Def and HP has No guard is a fire type has burn up spiky shield Fissure and sheer cold and has a evolution so it can use a eveiolite would you use this (I am on my moms phone)

  3. As someone who only really played Red/blue and gold/silver I’m suddenly reminded of how old I am. I don’t recognise any of these Pokemon nor do I understand what’s happening. It seems very complex.

  4. pretty sure you can just change the keyboard on the switch to change the characters in your name but if that whole segment added a measly 10 minutes to your video go off i guess

  5. Wait what was the point of Wolfey hiding his identity if he was just gonna use Perish trap and actually use it properly??? Bruh you're the only one in the world who CAN use it properly!

  6. Wolfey, if you could build your own Pokemon, what would be the, in your opinion, best pokemon? You have 600 Base Stats (Pseudo Legendary Stats) to distribute however you like, can pick the typing, Ability and Attacks, special mechanic (Z-Move, Mega etc.) and everything else
