What is an NDE?
A near-death experience (NDE) is typically a profound, life changing, intensely emotional experience that usually occurs during a clinical crisis and has common characteristics and aftereffects. It is not a dream, hallucination, or mental illness (Greyson, 1983). There are no predictive variables to identify who will have an NDE. They happen to people of all ages, religions, socio-economic groups, cultures, educational backgrounds, and belief systems. They occur under a variety of circumstances such as accidents, near-drownings, illnesses, combat, surgical procedures, and childbirth. Following an NDE, experiencers (NDErs) often display some common aftereffects. Research has established a set of common NDE characteristics and long-term aftereffects. Theories used to explain near-death experiences in purely physical terms have been proven inadequate by NDE researchers and others.

I have been hospitalized 2 times the 1st time my sister was told i died for 2min, but i dont recal anything of the death, the second time i was hospitalized for 32days and was told ill never leave alive, on the 3rd day the dr told me this and my sister, i told the dr i dont think so, that night i heard someone in my mind say we have to reSEQUENCE his DNA, Now i thought i might have imagined it, i was 429lbs when they brought me in, i lost 105lbs in 29 days and after comming home lost another 100lbs . And things about my nde comes in flashes so i serch.

2:40 mins. That is the answer. Consciousness is before, during and after life. It is all there is. Consciousness manifests to experience itself. It is a murmur of the infinite. Everything is a manifestation of no-thing. There is no-one, there is no birth-life-death. It is the illusion that stops the ego from realising it.
So I’ll say again, if you retain your identity in the afterlife, what happens if you get Alzheimer’s?😮

Watching so many tbroughout youtube I am very confused as nearly every nde is experienced by an American. Why is this? It makes me wonder why the rest of the world are not
' privelaged' to experience the other side!

Physical body management is tiresome and can be financially and emotionally expensive, just for those reasons being freed from the burdens of the body is so attractive. 😊

I know what you mean as I went through the same experience. In that awareness of detachment from the body, there is no pain. I did go through a tunnel after crying out to God for help, but it was like I was the mind of me looking down at my body in pain. What a blissful state of being that was. I can only say I never felt more alive then I have ever been while in the body. I say this because living in time everything passes by like an illusion. Whereas in that state of being it’s like being in a timeless void. That experience made me question my life and life in general. In a sense, you loose your selfish ego self and gain your selfless empathetic self.
He did not die, so it was not an NDE. Call it a spiritual experience please.
