She hated him for that and sick revenge for his death
How much more she is willing to sacrifice to gain what she wants
And in the end, was it worth it? All those blood all those stuff that she lost and can never get back… Was it worth it?
Abby spared her life multiple times she had no right to seek revenge here is completely out of line

TLOU 2 is so much more complex than the first game. You’re meant to be conflicted playing it. But at the end realize that Ellie, like you said, is taking it too far. So many people blindly loved Joel to hating Abby so much they never even paid attention to her part of the story and are uncaring of what happened to her

I recently played the game with my younger brother who’s not really into games at all. But with the show coming getting all the hate I did not let him watch the show first I had him watch me play part 1 and 2. The first time I experienced the last of us was back when pewdiepie played it (I didn’t have a console) and from then the dlc came out and I watched him play that. I was obsessed with this video game, before TLOU I had no clue a video games could have a storyline that impactful, and have players be so immersed in a world!! It was truly life changing. When I finally got my hands on a console the first game I played over and over was the TLOU, growing up and seeing Joel and Ellie, from 2013 and then finally getting my hands on part 2 in 2020 and seeing one of my favorite characters killed, it broke me and made me angry (goes to show the amazing job Neil and the rest of naughty dog did with this characters and the story) I hated Abby, and when I came to the end of this game and we come to the conclusion we did it was so disappointing…. It was after a year and a few other game plays I did that I finally started to empathize with Abby and her story. Finally coming to see hurt people that hurt more people. So when my brother and I played the game and I saw he didn’t have the same reaction as me when Joel died or Ellie finally finding Abby, it shocked me! Granted I was in middle school when the first game came out and was out of high school when part 2 came out but seeing my brother reactions and seeing how he automatically empathized with Abby and the rest of the Seattle crew was crazy to see.
What I’m trying to say is, I remember how much hate this game got because of the decision they went with, but that just goes to show how realistically human this story is we as the player back in 2020 felt Ellie’s anger and frustration when and we wanted our revenge on Abby. I had hated her for what she did that I couldn’t even see the fact that she just did the exact same thing Ellie was trying to accomplish. Vengeance is a scary thing and while this is a game this could definitely be applied to our everyday lives and current events. We get so tied up in our hate and anger that we brush off the fact that there’s an actual human just like us on the other end. While I don’t think Ellie got to the point where she could empathize with Abby, we as a gamer/viewer definitely could. I’ve come to really love part 2 and it’s in my yearly cycles to play.

Ellie unintentionally saved them and she lost everything just bc of it and it makes me hate the story even more. There's no team Ellie or Abby only bad people bc no one in this apocalypse are good people as we've seen. If they were good they'd be dead. If there was an apocalypse than people would do anything to survive even if it means killing anyone who gets in your way. Me personally o feel like a second game was unnecessary since the first game was already perfect. I dislike the ending bc Ellie just loses everything and her last connection to Joel for revenge and i hate the idea that really Ellie only suffers from the revenge and i get that Abby lost all her friends but Ellie lost everything thing which is really the part of the ending that I hate. I get that it was sending the message that revenge isn't the way but they could've done it in a way that didn't make the ending feel open ended or dissatisfying. Sorry for all the yap i kust have a lot of things to say about this game
