He looked right at her and did a sweet little chirp 🥹

Angela told us about finding “Clifford” in her driveway and putting him in a box to rest for as long as he needed, and how he let her know he was grateful to her!

  1. It’s so very satisfying when you have that kind of encounter. One winter a startled Cardinal knocked itself out on our patio window. I did the same thing you did, putting him into an empty and warm shoebox. He recovered after a few hours. Left the box to enjoy our home , letting us know how grateful he was. We let him back outside to enjoy the feeder again. What a special gift.

  2. I found a little sparrow just sitting still in my driveway after a cold storm. The animal rescue place thought he got chilled so they recommended a box and bringing him inside for 2 hours so he could sleep and warm up. After 2 hours, I brought the box outside, opened it up and he stood for a few seconds then flew off. I like to think that cute sparrow is outside my house every morning. You are a very sweet lady, taking care of this cardinal.

  3. Cardinal call is just a wee, single peep. Animals know without knowing. I saved a teeny hummingbird once. (They get lured and trapped in garages when they see the red or yellow ball on the opener). He followed me around the yard like a puppy the rest of the summer. Leave out spoiled fruit. They wont eat it but they love the gnats it attracts. God bless all here.

  4. sometimes they o that, when there is a few crows after them. They stay in the ground lose to people for a while and when there is no site of them, the take off flying. Be careful not to push the into taking off right away, for it may be their doom. I had a Yellow Parakeet do that next to me. He wouldn't move at all, and when I try to grab him he finally took off flying just to be cut by two crows that where waiting for him on a tree.

  5. Bet any money an elderly person has been feeding it and possibly they have passed and it’s missing human companionship and thinks your similar in look and vibe beautiful cardinal thanks for being kind to it

  6. Funny I moved during the height of the inflation hell in 2022 and there’s a cardinal in the yard. Things are finally getting better and the cardinal is still there chirping.

  7. Awesome story and video. Thanks for sharing. It's nice to see a caring success story here and what is possible when humans take the time to notice and to care for all life around us. Stay in The Light, my friends. Peace ✌️
