23. Poor people who can’t prioritize feeding their pets should not have giant dogs. My dog is huge too and when we found him was also starving to death even though he had “owners” too. So often people think it’s okay to starve out these gorgeous giants and it makes me furious. If you can’t muster up the money to feed a dog 8+ cups of food a day or a high quality, high nutrient sport line food so they don’t have to eat such a huge amount, maybe rethink the size of dog you want. That was our big boy’s problem, he didn’t like eating so much, but because of that we buy the sport food and he only has to eat 4 cups a day now and has a much easier time with that. It’s expensive, but i refuse to let my dog starve bc i want to buy cheaper food. People need to think more before they make themselves the provider for living creatures.
