  1. Some dogs esp female dogs like pits and american pits are just more aggressive towards males ..my mom had one that was like that towards males..she was taken away..i wonder about her daily because she was such a good dog and sweetheart

  2. Maybe she got aggressive cuz she knew you were going to give away her puppies. What mother wouldn't get aggressive? That separation anxiety would kill her.

  3. seems a bit extreme to take the pups away. yes pups need to be handled by people.but could have waiting 4 weeks at least. i wonder if a vet had any say in this.
even said she calmed down after 2 weeks

  4. Poor thing she probably had another liter and was hurt by a man i say that because of the way she reacted. I am happy to see she is healthy and flourishing thank you to you and your husband for helping her and her puppies ❤

  5. all females can have this happen idk how many pitbulls you have worked with but all females might does this after their first set of puppies!! but if you can get pass that she will protet you like they did her puppies!!

  6. I’m glad you guys didn’t give up either. We have had some fosters come through that we thought would be the end of us fostering. We’re always reminded to never give up, due to the past and videos like this!

  7. Had it with various animals. Greatest bound and trust. But babies is something special. Especially the first time. Instinct and lack of experience. Even budgies. From biting, to not taking their eye ofs handling them. To complaining about me sleeping in. Being to late for my morning task to watch them, whilst she went dj her morning routine. First is always a learning moment. If they have already learned by watching you with a baby or others baby, no problem. Got to ease in. Most animals you got a good bound with will come and introduce them. Dogs, I shift the focus to the mom, looking happy and excited seeing the puppies. Then focus on her, not the tinies. Assist her. Bring her food and water. Go sit and guard her and the puppies with my back to them. On her team and she knows it.

  8. "Need to be handed by humans", need to be bottle fed, separated from the mother. Why? Makes no sense. This is cruelty to the pups.

  9. In my experience some mom dogs don’t care and some can become extremely protective after having puppies. It’ll only last the first couple days. Then after that they go back completely normal.

  10. Don't take babies away from mama before 8 weeks. They would have grown just fine. They wonder why she got aggressive AFTER taking away all but one of her babies. They had no reason to take them from her, that's probably the entire reason she got aggressive and then she realized, okay my babies aren't coming back, and she "moved on"

  11. I don’t think they should’ve taken away all her puppies and only let her keep one. She’s probably had all her puppies taken away from her way too early. She been breeding her whole life.

  12. It so obvious why she went from being friendly and submissive to frightened and untrustring? You took all her other puppies away then wonder why she's terrified to let you near the ONE you left?? You never need to take a dogs puppies away from her to be sure they go on to be friendly towards humans! You need to do better research my friends before you foster another pregnant dog I'm sorry. Even to bottle feed them. Bottle feed them then return them to their mother.
