In 2024, Lael Wilcox set a new world record for circumnavigation of the earth by bicycle. For 108 days, 12 hours and 12 minutes she rode, joined by friends and fans, with her journey documented by Rugile Kaladyte.
This is the film of that ride, filled with highs and lows, incredible roads, friends and fans. Beyond the record, it’s about the experience and the connections made, and how the bicycle makes it possible.

  1. I’m so proud of Rue for putting this together ❤ A huge thanks to the cycling community for riding with me & making my trip so special. We’re fired up! Next year, I’m going after the men’s record: 78 days. We had a lovely first attempt— learned so much & had the best time. I’m really looking forward to giving it another crack. Can’t believe I love riding my bike more than when I started a year ago.

  2. Just an AMAZING human. Such an inspiration. A herculean effort by Ru to capture such an incredible accomplishment . Beautiful. I cried for joy at the completion of Laels ride.

  3. I’ve been following Lael for years and she inspired me to bikepack 1500km across British Columbia. We were on the road the same time and I used her updates to fuel me and push on to the next town. Thank you for being such a positive influence and for giving us content that makes people dream big like I did.
